Lackey's going seven scoreless tonight, folks.

Farrell will have to take that ball out of his cold dead hand, imo. Lackey will BE the bridge to Koji.

Anyone remember that John Lackey had Tommy John Surgery in 2012? Wasn't his arm supposed to fade, and lose momentum at some point? He may very well come back even stronger next year.

I also remember that he was done, worthless, used up, and terrible. I expected some resurgence, but I never expected the entity that BTR refers to as "John mother f***ing Lackey"

I'm just saying, there are a lot of Patriots fans and a lot of Yankees fans in my area; they're basically identical in attitude towards fans of other teams.

Oh god you and i are just not going to find middle ground here. Football's got a pretty decent following over here (and growing) and almost everybody is on the Pats bandwagon, so i know and freely admit they can be *******s. The thing is, they just don't come close to Yankee fans in terms of snotty ********. They just don't.

Believe me, i've had plenty of "awwww" moments hearing Pats fans calling Brady a better QB than Peyton, but nothing comes close to the annoyance of the Jeter fellatio-fest.

Will ARod declare free agency in the 9th inning???

I'll never forget the douche chills that ran up my spine as that unfolded.

He'll go 8. His pitch count is down and he has a nice lead to work with. Why f*** around when he's cruising?

By the way, to those of you who wanted to set the record...barely over halfway to the post count record for a GT.

We seem to be missing a ton of posters tonight for some reason

John Lackey is pitching a shutout in a potential World Series clinching game tonight.

Hands up if you would've laughed your f***ing ass off if someone said we'd be in this position right after 2012 ended.

It was Nov 2011. He had 18 months of limited activity. He is as strong as he'll ever be.

Would've gotten home sooner but my **** classmates just couldn't stop asking stupid questions to our field trip host.

Every single f***ing class I'm in has that one dipshit who does that s***. Pisses me off so much

12 months ago would have predicted John Lackey being in this situation and pitching the way he is? Talk about R-E-D-E-M-P-T-I-O-N.

12 months ago I don't think any of us even expected to make it to the world series, let alone the playoffs.

Want to do us a favor and simply not close the thread until Spring Training?
