Fair, next

That's rough, I already apologized. The guy is a champ. Who actually puts up with that level of hate, makes shitloads of money win or lose, says he loves us anyway and will turn his s*** around and actually does it? He's awesome.

My mojo clinched the ALDS without your blonde harlot. Silence, peon!

I must say that UN? Mojo has carried this team. BTR Mojo became weak and flaccid at the worst moment and your white hot stream was there to save the day.

But Wacha is..

His amazing run comes to an end Wednesday night. After game 2, he doesn't scare me. He's just as beatable as Wainwright and we're at home with the WS trophy waiting in the wings. If you think this team won't be jacked to get after it early and often, you're f***ing crazy. They will be ready and so will Lackey.

Well while Vic said that his back has been worse here than at any time during the rest of the season, Farrell said that his back was much better today than it was yesterday and that Vic would be available if needed later in this game. That may have been Farrell just trying to keep the Cards having to consider Vic as a possibility but I suspect Vic will play in Game 6...maybe batting lower in the order.

Not really. If we don't throw the ball around the park in either game 2 or game 3, we're dumping champagne right now. The Sox are deeper, more talented, and have a better ace than the Cards. We should win this Series. And we're going to.

Anything can happen, but I said from the start the Sox had the best record in the best division in the better league.Plus home field. Even so, it takes great clutch performances to beat a good, well-balanced team like the Cardinals. And they're getting them--from different guys. Do it to them--one more time, please.

Agreed. Wacha was far from dominant and I doubt that the cold New England weather will be of much help to him.

No guarantees, of course, but I give the advantage to John Motherf***ing Lackey.

UN? and I tag teamed for the WS and made a great team. His mojo is better than mine, but I'll still kick his ass. Lol just kidding

...yeah I will

Your mojo is strong as well. Many thanks for bailing my ass out.

I call it now, Sox bats come alive and beat the living s*** out of the cardinals Wednesday night, they are gonna be shell shocked. Fenway is gonna explode. Trust me on this.

Can you imagine where we'd be if we'd gone with the sexy trade pick and sent Lester to KC for Wil Myers? I cannot even fathom how stupid that trade looks now.

I recall people (I don't know if any of them were on this site, but I know people on other sites as well as in the media world) advocating years ago trading Lester for Salty. Then the Sox got Salty anyways. That made the idea look dumb and now it just looks downright idiotic.

Obviously Lester was marvelous - and after the Sox Johnny Wholestaffed the last 2 games and with Craig Breslow turning back into a pumpkin ... this has been particularly valuable.

If Vic is healthy, he is a tempting go for Wednesday - don't want that giant outfield patrolled by anybody else. But the way he has scuffled, if he can't move - then there is not much marginal improvement over having Nava out there.

We beat Price, Moore, Verlander, Scherzer, Sanchez and Wainwright... I really want that our Sox beat Wacha and specially with Lackey on the mound.

Didn't you bet actual money against the Sox today? Please stop posting in the GT's i start. You are bad mojo.

Fixed it for you. Our dominance against our opponents top shelf starters this postseason has been nothing short of incredible. That continues on Wednesday against Wacha.

Please, it's more than the playoffs. Without your crazy ass win streaks, who knows if we would have got here.

This made me smile.

And get a tiny bit hard if we're being completely honest.

One subtle element here that has broken our way was that Will had been an epic fail in the one shot he has gotten in this series. That combined with the mountain of evidence that this series has been all about pitching and defense made it easier for Farrell to make the correct decision and put his best defenders in the key defensive positions. I feel badly for Will that it has turned out the way it has but if we win this thing, ya' gotta' take the WS win and satisfy yourself that Will is young and still has his career ahead of him. Things have looked much better for us when we are not f***ing ourselves right in the ass. That means Salty sits. Will sits. Drew plays SS and Ross is behind the plate.

You are right and so is VA, I shouldn't have killed on Drew's noodle bat. Without his glove we are not where we are right now. We managed to get enough runs anyway. He should hold his head up high for sure.

Obvious point here, but consider just how huge Lester being his own bridge was. Taz has pitched about 35 straight games (very well, mind you), but I assume he would have been up for another appearance tonight. After that? Breslow, much as I love him from his work in the previous two rounds, is not currently trustable. Lackey's not giving us an inning of side work tonight. Can you imagine if we had to bring Dempster or Morales into the 7th or 8th inning of a tight game?

Now everyone not named Koji gets an extra day's rest and we go into Game 6 knowing that in the unlikely event that Lackey doesn't shut the Cards down, we've got a well-rested 'pen ready to pitch multiple innings.

And for (the highly improbable) Game 7 I assume that Peavy, Doubs, Lester, and maybe even Buch are available. Awesome. Especially Lester and Doubs, since the Cards are apparently as helpless as advertised against LH pitching. If Peavy can even give us 3 reasonable innings, there will be enough quality arms to take us home.

Jacko and Carter are crying over their Zimas right now giving thought to that double Dutch rudder that was mentioned here the other night.

He also hit a pretty big shot, and took a hard-earned walk against Wainwright. I bet he gets a crucial hit on Wednesday and we are forced to sacrifice you to appease the baseball Gods. Sorry bro, that's just how it works.
