Vs

http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/525x330/458681.jpg

The shenanigans end tonight. No more stupid blown calls, no more Salty throws to third. Just an utter and complete obliteration of the Cardinals tonight, en route to consecutive convincing victories over their stupid faces at their home field. They speak of "the Cardinal way", but we'll show them the Bearded way is the winning way.

My mojo support is yet to arrive, but he will be here come game time to help me overcome this redbird silliness.

WIN!

Wouldn't say DONE-done, if you get away with game 5 (Lester/Wainwright again I'm assuming) you have the last two at Fenway. A miniscule chance, but a chance.

Really though don't f***ing lose to Lance Lynn.

I would pitch Lester on three days rest, so he could potentially come back for a game 7. I would go Lester, Buchholz, Lackey, Lester for the rest of the series. The way this is currently set up we would be pitching Peavy in a potential game 7. Scary. Hopefully we can win tonight, and Lester and Lackey can close it out.

Hopefully Salty will occupy himself with cheering from about five rows back on the bench for the remainder of this series.

Odds are that if you DO lose it will be to a relief pitcher. Lyne is a 2nd half head case. Dbl digit wins in the 1st half, 4 or 5 in the 2nd, this year and last. If you guys' guy gets shoulder problems this could turn in to a hell of a slugfest!

BTW, VA: Descalso's 1st name is not David.

Last night was a must win for the Cards, with Lynn going tonight for them and then Lester going in G5, considering their deficiency against LHP. The Sox will win the next 2.

Score early. Score often.

Bogaerts goes deep tonight

Yeah well Kelly supposedly had a bunch of pitfalls and last night he made us look like the Astros.

Solid line up...the burden for the offense is where it should be....if the guys at the top and in the heart of the lineup don't hit we really cannot expect guys down there in the 7 or 8 hole to bail us out. Either the guys that should hit do or they don't. If the guys at the bottom of the order hit some...fine but the guys 1-6 should just dig a hole and toss themselves in if 7-9 have to take the weight for anything more than moving a runner here and there.

Get it done....2-2 would be a terrific place to be considering everything that has happened so far. Took the better part of the day just to peel myself off the ceiling. Go Sox!!!!

Sorry. I copied and pasted it from the Boston Globe.

Why the hell is Drew still in the lineup. His solid defense does NOT make up for his totally inept hitting---or I should say non hitting. He does nothing but strike out, never tries to lay down a drag bunt to help himself or he team out. He needs to be expunged from the lineup in my opinion. Good to see Salty riding the pine, though. He has fallen back into the miserable defensive habits he had the first two seasons he played for us, and Boras must be pulling his hair out of his head where Drew is concerned. His FA value money wise is sinking faster than a rock in a stream.

The Globe is a fine, old New England rag, but you can get 'em quicker and more reliably from The Baseball Press/Daily Lineups

VA has been posting Boston Globe's lineup before every single game for as long as I can remember, and I doubt that'll change any time soon.

Kelly did what he usually does...5 strong and OUT, giving up 1 E.R. Concerning Lyne, about 1 of 4 starts he is damn near unhittable, when the 98mph heater is locating. But Nostradamus could not predict when he's gonna do that.

Gonna listen on radio to Stig and Lou tonight. The latency and delay only bothers me when the Cards are up. Stig will call a long fly headed for the warning track and I have no idea if it is just going to die there or not. Heart in throat while waiting for the play to finish off. However I will trade panic attacks any day when the alternative is listening to the Cadaver and the Half-Buck.

Who's the alternative to Drew, Middlebrooks? He's equally useless at this point.

Vic now out of the lineup. f*** it...bring it on.....I suspect we might get an early read based on how they come out in the first couple innings. I don't think they want to heap even more pressure on Buch than he will be under anyway.
