I'm watching the post-game on Comcast Sports Network. Supposedly after Price's post-game interview, after he talked about the Sox's lucky win, he said to the interviewers while walking away: "Nice questions... bunch of nerds."

 

Price lost the game but he came away from it looking fricking cool. Idk if we can get past Price and his freaking coolness in Gm 5, so we almost have to win 1 in Tampa.

I am hoping against hope that the Braves might have something to say about that. Unrealistic perhaps, but I cannot psychologically deal with the Dodgers buying a pennant.

I don't want to see LA there, but realistically, their toughest opponent is the Braves. They can easily get past STL/PIT.

Rooting for a Sox/Pirates series for a while now... always liked Pitt everytime I've visited... fans are pretty enjoyable and they deserve a nice playoff run considering what they've been through... be nice to see them roll on into the Series only to get stomped by the Sox.

The Sox have kicked it up a notch the 1st two games, beating two tough lefties they had trouble with this year. TB's best pitchers. Now they have a pitching advantage with Buchholz and Peavy going to TB.

 

Their play right now reminds me of the '04 and '07 playoff teams. Amazing that Papi is still a prime contributor.

Jung, IU was cursing my head off in the sixth when Farrell kept Lackey in the game. He was done in the fifth but Farrell took a page out of Francona's book in that he wanted John to get a win. I can sort of see that but cannot understand how he let him go out for the sixth frame. The Tampas were on to him and he looked gassed. Laying off so long made him less sharp that he needed to be, but at least the bullpen rose to the occasion and I wonder what Maddon is thinking now. He sounded cock sure that today would be different with his ace on the mound. Well it was; they only lost buy three runs instead of nine.

I can't psychologically deal with the Dodgers period!!!!!!!!!! That team actually sickens me. If only the Braves could get their s*** together, I would love to see the Bums try to go out this winter and spend themselves into bankruptcy trying to buy a f***ing title.
