Rickey Nolasco(9-9, 3.60 ERA)

This is the game to win. Take the pressure off losing the series. This is the best pitching matchup for the Sox. Forsyth just beat the Dodgers 14-6 on MLB the show. If that's the final score, I demand he plays on rookie everyday for the rest of the season. Come on Sox, don't let me down. I better wake up tomorrow and see that the Sox won.

I love listening to Vin Scully, he has the best voice and he's always telling you things that you'd never know unless you listened to Dodgers games.

Whenever I have the opportunity I listen to Dodgers games just so I can hear Vin.

I hate seeing a pitcher hit. Why can't they just implement the dh in the nl ?

They will - now that there is interleague every day - it is going to be hard not to change it.

And yes, I'm getting the Vin Scully feed here - another level. By himself no less!

Vin was the only reason I'd watch a Dodgers game when in LA. He is a legend and completely amazing at what he does.

It's mind-blowing that Scully is 86 years old. Next season he will be be coming back for his 65th season. If the Dodgers don't have a statue for him, they should.

Something about the purity of baseball or fundamentals or some other stupid crap. Yeah, I love looking up box scores when I come home from work and seeing seventeen substitutions in a nine-inning game because the starters sucked. And if I'm lucky, I can watch the video clips on MLB.com of all the sacrifice bunts and strikeouts for the pitchers!

They could just wait until he croaks in the booth and cover him in bronze.

Not a huge Vin Scully fan myself but the again I used to love listening to Bob Euker have conversations with himself. Joe Costiglione gets my vote, always makes me feel at home.

I know the Sox have gotten used to having bad West Coast swings over the past few years but they have got to stop pissing away games now.

What this team needs is consistent run scoring. You can score 12 runs one game, and zero runs the next. Sure, you have a nice average of 6 runs a game, but its misleading if you can't muster any offense the next game.

I hate it when announcers say the pitcher has only made "one mistake". Only one hitter has taken a mistake pitch out of the park but that does not mean Lackey has only made one mistake...although hearing the way Eck talks about pitching you know darned will that if he was on the mound, that is how he would think about it..."I only made one mistake".

True. But if lackey can go 7, only give up two, and they dont score s***, it aint his fault. Plus how is shane still falling for that pitch.

Ortiz would do just as well to play behind the runner if Lackey is not even going to look over. As for throwing over, that does not do much either if Lackey just goes back to not even looking over after he throws over.
