The Sox showed their fortitude and fight today. The Yankees helped them with shoddy defense, but the Sox seized the opportunity and Lackey pitched like a big game pitcher. They beat the Yankees best pitcher. David Ortiz still has that big game swagger.

They have hit CC pretty good this season. In 17.1 innings against the Red Sox, Sabathia has put up 12 earned runs. He had one good start against them where he allowed one run, the other two starts have been batting practice.
