I've noticed it as well. Every time I watch him, he seems to always be making nice diving stops, or great barehanded plays.

Certainly not our father's Red Sox offense but they have been very disciplined all year long with few lapses and they have made an approach, an offensive process work for them so far this year. Nobody other than Ortiz really stands out but usually by the end of the game they have pieced together enough runs to win. They live on a tight rope though and that is what is both exciting and unnerving for Sox fans...downright frustrating for everybody else.

 

That is one thing I always admired about the Rays...how frustrating it was to play them....not so much for their offense. In our case, this offense must drive teams and opponent fans batty.

True. But his biggest problem was his throwing errors. He had a wilder one to nap tonight and nap said once before a game that his ball cuts like a cutter soemtimes.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned in the thread, but the Sox have won 8 of the last 9 games started by Dempster. (Obviously not because of Dempster's pitching)

You can't create your own save situation. If another reliever replaces Koji, then it's a save opportunity.
