Daniel Nava is quite good at hitting a baseball with a baseball bat.

So am I....

I can't get Gomes' walk up song, The Boys are Back by the Dropkick Murphys, out of my head. Crazy addicting. It started at the game I was at.

Let's just say I know more about the country Andorra than I do about Star Trek.

Heck, I had to Wikipedia "Andorian" to even know that YOTN was referring to something from Star Trek, although since it's YOTN one could have guessed.

Obviously.... ;):)

 Yeah, it's a good bet in real life too. My co-workers know that if they talk about music or cars or whatever else, I tune out. The only discussions I will jump into are baseball and Star Trek, and only one of those actually occurs.

To be fair, I am impressed he knew what Andorra was. I can't expect everyone to have an encyclopedic memory for Star Trek's races. It would certainly be nice to be able to converse about it outside of the Trek boards, but I don't expect it.

I play those "Countries of the World" quizzes on Sporcle all the time. I can do most of the world flags and capitals too. I loved geography bees at school.

Gammons made a good point: We are going to need Clay in August, September, and October. Since we're in first, it's okay to be cautious.

I love Sporcle so much. I spend hours on there.

Nava is the better hitter.

True. And "My name is a700 and I was SO WRONG about Daniel Nava"

But you'll never see the quoted part, ever in your lifetime.

I know those without doing those things. A love for History/Geography and a photographic memory certainly helps.

Yes you will, see:

700hitter has praised Nava quite a bit this season though. Where's Mr. Sweet Chin Music these days? His calls on Nava and Iglesias don't look very good these days.

I didn't learn those things from Sporcle (other than how to spell Kyrgyzstan) I just needed a place where I can show off my knowledge of the random categories and sporcle gives me that opportunity.

I'm currently badge hunting on Sporcle so I need to put more work in. I wish I could use YOTN for any Star Trek quizzes that come my way.

The 2004 Red Sox quiz was fun too.

Yeah, I have openly said numerous times how Nava has far surpassed my expectations at bat (with his power) and in the field. He is probably the biggest and most pleasant surprise on this team. I don't think we would be in first place without his contributions. I wish I could be wrong about more of our players like I have been about Nava. Some people just need to say nah nah nah nah nah.

I honestly never remember who says what about whom anymore.
I really never did remember who said what about whom. Is that right English? Because what we say doesn't mean a hill of beans. We're all just shooting the breeze.

Peter and Don were just talking about Iggy who skipped winter ball this year to work out and build strength. Does make me wonder if Nava did something particular this winter as well. To me the biggest difference I see in his physical assets, last year to this is his bat speed. Nava looks to like like he has a much quicker bat than I remember him ever having.

This Jake pitcher said 'I like my eggs like I like my last name"

:rimshot:

See what I did there?

Yes, I'm hoping for Overeasy to be smashed.

I guess you don't read very carefully or maybe you have had me on ignore, because I have made similar posts about Nava for about a month.

Yeszir did ask that we stop poking each other, and I have honored that request, but I guess the menopause got the better of you.:harhar:

As always, you are wrong. You've praised Nava but never once admitted you were WRONG about Nava. Big difference. Coward.

Still not menopausal. Wrong again. Too bad you have to get personal and be a gigantic f***ing ass.

When someone says repeatedly that a player has far exceeded his expectations, what does that mean to you? ;)

Maybe I am wrong about the menopause, but you just couldn't help being gratuitously bitchy while we are all rooting for our team to sweep a double header against a division opponent. I am giving you an excuse by attributing this to menopause. The alternative is that you are just a nasty ole...
