For some reason I thought the gamethread would continue. I have no idea why I thought that. Anyway glad to win one, but might as well go for the KO, especially after losing 3 of 4 to Baltimore, we can use every win we can get, especially within the division.

First time that lineups have been posted during the game.

Looks like a slow gamethread too. I guess I should try to liven things up. Who wants to read fifty paragraphs about mid twenty-second century Andorian history?

Love ya but no thank you :)

If you're referring to the country Andorra, wouldn't it be Andorrian?

Why the hell is Nava playing first?

Because Napoli played 1st in the 1st game. Need Nava's bat in the line up and he's done fine at 1st.

To be fair, I am impressed he knew what Andorra was. I can't expect everyone to have an encyclopedic memory for Star Trek's races. It would certainly be nice to be able to converse about it outside of the Trek boards, but I don't expect it.

Buchholz placed on DL

The Red Sox placed pitcher Clay Buchholz on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to June 9, the team announced.

Buchholz has not pitched since he left a start on June 8 with neck stiffness.

The Red Sox need a starter for Saturday’s game. Earlier Tuesday, manager John Farrell said the team narrowed in on two candidates as potential fill-ins: Rubby De La Rosa and Allen Webster.

Buchholz needed to throw a successful bullpen session on Tuesday if he was going to start on Saturday. Farrell said the team would monitor his throws to determine his availability.

“For [buchholz] to be able to make that start, he would need to bullpen today, Thursday, and then start Saturday,” Farrell said earlier. “If the bullpen can not be executed today, then we will make a move.”

Buchholz appeared to throw some pitches in the bullpen before Tuesday night's game. The announcement was made in the bottom of the first inning.

In other roster moves, backup catcher David Ross was placed on the seven day disabled list because of concussion symptoms.

Catcher Ryan Lavarnaway and right handed pitcher Alex Wilson were called up and are available to play in Tuesday night's game, the team announced.

Let's just say I know more about the country Andorra than I do about Star Trek.

Heck, I had to Wikipedia "Andorian" to even know that YOTN was referring to something from Star Trek, although since it's YOTN one could have guessed.

Based on what how our bullpen is being used we might need them to piggyback one another.
