Ball or no Pedey had to swing at that. Can't leave the game in the hands of the ump with a pitch that close...especially since Pedey was tyring to push the ball to RF anyway. Would have been nice to have two on and Ortiz coming up but I ya' gotta swing at that. Hey everybody makes a mistake though. Pedey is still one of only two guys I would have wanted up in that situation.

Okay, goodnight. I love this team just as much as the next guy but it's almost midnight and browsing the Internet with my buttcheeks unpuckered from tension before going to sleep seems like a more preferable activity right now.

Wonder when we are gonna have a solid closer again.

 

Bailey has had some great saves. I still have high hopes for him. But as for having someone like Papplebon who knows how long it could take to find a talent like that.

Thank God this is not a four game series. Rays are the most frustrating team in baseball to play. By the time you get to game 4 of one of those you just want to get the hell outta' town.

If Uehara only throws 7 pitches per inning, we might be able to squeeze 5-6 innings out of him :).

 

Relievers are like toothpaste. You can squeeze more out of them, but...uh...f***, I can't think of where I was going with this simile.
