Colon, Cano and Cruz are three of the biggest names mentioned in the initial reports, and they're all going.

I believe I said not a whole a lot. I didn't say no one.

You have A-Rod, Braun, those four, and the rest are either no-name players or noobs with the exception of Everth Cabrera who is having a fine season.

None of them are in the ASG.

FYI, Gio Gonzalez was a 20 game winner last year, not a no-name player.

All we know at this point is that it looks like A-Rod and Braun are likely going to be suspended. And that's not even a given. Who the rest of these player are is anyone's guess, and whether MLB will have the evidence to withstand an appeal is another issue. But MLB doesn't have to wait until after the appeal to begin these suspensions.

They aren't even supposed to announce the suspensions until an appeal is finished. That's why the Braun case was such a big deal, not just that it was overturned, but that it was announced prior to the appeal.

I think it's disgusting how this whole thing operates. These guys are IN the media light getting paid a LOT of money based on performances which are ballooned by cheating, then they act like the victim when the truth comes out? These guys should get nailed to the wall. I personally think ALL major sports should have a ZERO tolerance policy with much tougher drug testing. Caught once, banned for life. Then perhaps these players wouldn't be so arrogant and assured about cheating.

If MLB wanted to handle this PED issue once and for all, all they would have to do is ban a couple of these guys like Braun and ARod and payoff their contract the Union has nothing to say about it. That message would be heard loud and clear. After that, players would be getting their trainer's approval to drink coffee. Ban a coupe of these cheaters. That is what thy need to do. Since the mid-90's none of MLB's stats have any integrity. They need to get the playing field level again, or they just let them do whatever they want. This half-assed enforcement system only penalizes the clean guys.

TAMPA, Fla. - Alex Rodriguez met with Major League Baseball officials probing the distribution of banned performance-enhancing drugs.

The meeting took place Friday before the New York Yankees third baseman's latest injury rehabilitation game in the minor leagues was rained out.

While A-Rod didn't speak with reporters Friday, the meeting was confirmed by a person who spoke on condition of anonymity because no statements were authorized.

MLB investigators are probing the closed anti-aging clinic Biogenesis. Rodriguez has said he used PEDs while with Texas from 2001-03 but has denied using them since. He was linked to Biogenesis in a report in January by Miami New Times.

Sounds like MLB might have a pretty strong case against A-Rod, who continues to piss off the Yankees.

Lawyers for Alex Rodriguez, now aware of the extent of Major League Baseball’s case against the Yankee third baseman and in a possible attempt to cut their client’s potentially massive losses, are engaging in internal discussions about brokering a plea deal with MLB to reduce A-Rod’s looming drug suspension, three sources familiar with baseball’s investigation into Anthony Bosch and the Biogenesis performance-enhancing drug scandal have told the Daily News.

According to the sources, a 150-game suspension might be the best that could be expected for Rodriguez, who is rehabbing from hip surgery with high Single-A Tampa and was chastised by the Yankees Saturday for failing to report to the team’s complex for Friday night’s game following a four-and-a-half hour meeting with MLB officials who outlined their case against him. His 20-day rehab assignment ends on July 22, and it is unclear where A-Rod will go after that, but according to a source, Yankee officials sent him a notification Saturday telling him that he is obligated to inform them in advance of any absence. Rodriguez also declined to accept an assignment to Buffalo, where the Yankees wanted him to join their Triple-A team, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, saying he was having a problem with his quad muscle. Rodriguez played in Saturday night’s game in Tampa, however.

According to another source, Rodriguez’s meeting with MLB ended at about 4 p.m., and a clearly shaken Rodriguez then met with MLB Players Association reps for an hour and a half to discuss what had been outlined by MLB officials. When Rodriguez didn’t show up at the Yankee complex, GM Brian Cashman then tried to reach the three-time AL MVP, who told him that he “just couldn’t make it.”

A 150 game suspension for Arod being brokered by his people? Sounds like MLB is trying to suspend him for life. Go MLB!!

I think the guy they really want to get is Braun.

They do, every knew he was guilty as sin when he got off on that technicality last year.

ARod didn't show up for a game, and then refused an assignment to play for SWB due to a "bad quad" yet played last night in Tampa. The Yankees should suspend him for 10 games without pay, then let the MLB investigation run its course. I hope MLB does us a favor and gets rid of him

Really, you would just like to see the Y@nkee$ free of his contract to free up some money in the chase of future free agents.

It's a shame A-Rod isn't playing with the Yankees at the moment. I've been dying to scream at the top of my lungs to let A-Rod know how much he sucks at Fenway.

It's a shame you weren't doing that when he was in his prime and hitting 50+ HR's a a season.

It's a shame he stopped using PED's and can no longer hit like that.

I wasn't only 7 years old when he was doing that, so it wouldn't be possible. I see you still like to live in the past. When the Yankees are sitting on the couch this postseason, please don't bring up the ring argument.

He wasn't using PED's in 2007 when he hit 54 HR's with the Yankees.

How do you know that for certain?

2007 was a great year for the Red Sox.

Because he smartened up after MLB introduced it's drug testing policy in 2004.

Unfortunately Manny wasn't as bright repeatedly failed tests, getting him 50 game and 100 game suspensions.

This isn't about Manny cheating. It's about A-Rod cheating. You sure are talking a lot of s*** when The Fraud is about possibly face a huge suspension.

Most people, including NYY fans hate A-Rod. It's so cute that you are sticking up for him.

If it weren't for A-Rod the Yankees don't win the World Series in 2009, it's not something I can easily forget.

So that's justification for making all of these retarded statements? Think before you post.

Going to steal your quote that you used on Suns.

""water, please don't be wet" is the exact equivalent of the request you just made"
