The Sox are 32-20 right now, 12 games over .500 in the first 52 games and on pace for 100 wins.

 

To reach 90 wins, they just have to play 6 games over .500 for the remainder of the season, a .527 W% and a 85 win pace.

 

They've put themselves in a very very good position to be able to absorb a bit of a losing streak and still be contending.

That Aceves has a lot of moxie. The trick is to channel that moxie to the right ends. That was not the case last year. Farrell may have a better handle this year.

The problem with Aceves is that he's s very streaky moxie player. Yesterday, he had a +45 MXY, but he's also had a few -70 MXY games this year. And let's not even bother with his record breaking -1,678 MXY from 2012. P-U!
