Do you have to post the same s*** in every thread? In a world where Glenn Beck exists, you are the internet person i wanna punch in the face the most other than Jacko. That is quite an accomplishment.

Iggy playing 3B tonite. I hope this isn't Daniel Bard all over again. The more sensible thing is to put Drew at 3B, Iggy at SS. If Iggy blows it at 3B, it could hurt him more than help. He's a model great field, no hit SS, who could be another Aparicio in a few years.

If he blows it, it's because he's not good enough. We need to stop treating players like they are all faberge eggs.

Bringing Iggy up to play 3rd base would seem to say that the Sox have no interest in seeing Ciriaco back there again....ever. True that last time we saw Ciriaco at 3rd, he was terrible...really something of a surprise since he has played 3rd at least as well as you might expect from a utility infielder.

Ciriaco does not seem like the same player he was last year. I wonder if he felt like he earned an every day job last year and is not happy facing the reality he is a utility player.

Last year there were instances when Ciriaco played better than you would expect on average for a utility infielder......especially at SS. Maybe in truth we saw much more of the best Ciriaco has to offer. Baseball is so competitive that the process of a player working his way up will usually expose him either as a guy that can play ML baseball every day or a guy that can't. Not many guys fall through the cracks, ending up in the wrong place especially if they have been in the pro baseball system for awhile. So maybe what we are seeing this year from Ciriaco is just the other end of the spectrum for him.

He was a real disappointment at 3rd this time around. It looked like foreign soil to him.
