Ridiculous decision by Butterball. Farrell teams continue to run the bases like imbeciles. No one out with Big papi coming to the plate and they send him home. Just stupid.

And he sent Ells with no real shot at getting home. Bourne already had the ball before Ells got to 3rd. I don't care if it was Road Runner running and While E Coyote throwing from CF, unless the throw goes into the first row behind him...its an out.

The opposite your talking about happened primarily last August and September.

No, not really. It started after 2007.

Well, I don't really recall that. I only remembered the high points. Based on what you say, 2004 might have been excusable since it broke the curse.

That's 3 bad starts for Dempster in a row.

He's also been lucky once or twice by way of run support.

I think that was his last outing right? He gave up what 5ER and still got the win?

He missed qualifying for the win because he couldn't make it through 5 innings.

Yeah, that was Saturday's 12-5 win, but the win was charged to Breslow.

Reoccurring problem I might add.

Think it's time to give Dempster the hook.

EDIT: Didn't even realize he wasn't in.. Been listening to the game, not watching.

I was referring to part of the fan base thinking liking the NYY fan base. That they should be play off (WS) contenders every year and anything less is unacceptable. That's not how baseball works.

What do you mean? He got taken out of the game already.

Sure, Dempster struggled tonight, but I don't know why Farrell thought relying on bullpen for six innings would be a safer bet.

With Lackey tomorrow, they'll need the pen.

BP has been pretty good lately. Dempster was at 85 pitches and struggled all night. He threw over 120 pitches his last outing.

Still hate having to go to the BP this early.

Offense needs to step it up.

Maybe Lackey's next outing will be as good as his last one. He had a no hitter through 5. We can only hope!

I could see Farrell feeling like he had to take Dempster out when he did. 127 last time out and already up to 85 and struggling.

Many of Farrells moves strike me as odd, especially as it relates to the everyday ballplayers and ESPECIALLY 3rd base coaches! The staff has probably been his strong suit.

Bruins/Rangers now 2-2 in the 3rd. Bruins have two power play goals and are going on the power play again now. Rangers have two odd ball goals. Rask tripped over himself on one. Embarrassing.
