Probably. Ellsbury saved his ass a little yesterday with the triple. Napoli's gone cold all of a sudden. WMB and Drew are heating up though.

The wind definitely aided is triple yesterday. Otherwise his 4 other AB were awful, just god awful.

The sox are coming back down to earth offensively, just like most everyone expected. Their BABIP was the highest in baseball and their RISP numbers were stupid good.

And now the BABIP and RISP is on a stupid low stretch. The bats will come around again.

Nava and Carp are the normal 5 and 6 hitters?

What then explains the Yankees time machine success? They should have fallen down to earth since Opening Day.

@PeteAbe: C David Ross was placed on the 7-day concussion disabled list today. To fill his spot, C Ryan Lavarnway was recalled from Pawtucket

Ignore him. He disappears for a while and then pops up with a hit n' run comment whenever the Sox hit a snag.

Even this lineup without Papi should have enough to beat up the Jays starter. Who the hell is Jenkins?

Someone who we better f*** the hell up today.

More s*** D.

I like the effort by Middlebrooks, but if you don't think you can get a clean throw, then eat it. I don't know how Salty completely missed that ball. At least we got out of it without giving up a run.

Regardless of how poor the offensive has been recently, if our pitching continues to perform at a high level, we're pretty guaranteed to be competitive. The offense isn't 2003esque but it's still solid when guys are doing what they're supposed to. This slump sucks but it happens to everybody.

It is baffling to me that the Sox are playing at almost a .600 clip and we are tied for second place behind the Yankees who are old, battered and bruised. WTF!

Worst part is I totally saw it coming. They, by all means, should be terrible but nope. Every single corpse on that team is performing like they're still in their primes. It's f***ing infuriating.

And their better corpses will be returning.
