I know I have said this before but this has been and is such an interesting baseball team and season. We always have so much good stuff going on. Some of it is due to not so good stuff like injury and such but there is always something to keep the baseball interest high.

It's on ESPN so we don't have to watch NESN+ again.

Happy birthday to her!

Rain is looming, but may stay away long enough.

I have not noticed NEXN+ audio being crappy. Maybe I have just been lucky. Should be a great night to flip back and forth between NESN and NESN+

I'd rather see Nava in there instead of Gomes but hopefully Gomes proves me wrong!

Or even Carp over Gomes.

Again, prove me wrong Gomes!!

Webster will go 6 innings or more, I think. And K the Twins to oblivion.

Well I was hoping I would find some numbers for Gomes vs Hernandez that would play into the decision but there are none. Never faced him.

I figured that it's because Gomes is RHH and Hernandez is a LHP, rather than putting in Carp vs. lefties. Granted Nava is a switch hitter and an OBP god, so it might come down to gut instinct from there.

To be honest, while I like Nava better batting from the left side, after last night's mess I wanted his patient bat. I guess Gomes can be patient as well but most of them CAN be patient. You know Nava will be.

ESPN has that big network feel but I actually think NESN handles the video aspects of covering a baseball game better than just about anybody. I hate these little specials and interviews that NESN insists on sticking right in the middle of the actual play but the replays are great and the way NESN does them is really good I think.

That's why it's on ESPN.

Yeah, I'm sure that's why. ESPN figured it out!!

The ESPN broadcaster's suck. I'll take NESN+ any day over them.

A WIN tonight would be so very nice!

I like NESN but sometimes they are not impartial and tendencious. They hardly critic and some times dedicate tons of time in ******** interviews and jokes than in analysis of the game.

Gomes has a .373 OBP despite only a .208 BA so thus far he's proving he can be able to walk. That said I'd have expected a bit more power from the offense, but I'm happy with a lot of the OBP.

WEEI > NESN > ESPN

Castiglione is the best. Baseball on the radio beats anything.

He is but gives me a heart attack when he gets all excited and it's a foul or a caught ball instead of a home run!

I only like ESPN over Orsillo and Remy when Dave O'Brien is calling the game, but he does Monday Night Baseball. Castiglione and O'Brien are good too.

I know....sometimes it is just too funny....like when a ball is hit to left and bangs off the wall and Remy is talking about how later in the summer it would be a Home Run, completely ignoring the fact that a heavy breeze was blowing out to left field.

While this year they seem to have even ratcheted up the homer stuff they are still not as bad as many of the donkey broadcast crews around the league.
