So Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion, J.P Arencibia, and Colby Rasmus, all of whom have P/PA's of 3.70 or higher for their career, and all better than Jose Reyes don't work the count, and he does? GTFO.

Also, (and i don't mean to be rude), but why do you type like a monkey on meth using a typewriter?

I think Salty is a better offensive and defensive catcher than Arencibia.....so that tells you what I think of him. I think Rasmus sucks, IMO he is extremely limited.

I think Encarnacion had a fluke year or he was injecting himself with something. That year came from nowhere, just as Bautista appeared out of thin air. Further, Jose Bautista cannot stay on the field because he is off the roids.

I dont think they are a very good team.

Stat from ESPN just popped up on my phone:

"Red Sox win their first two series of the season for the first time since 2006."

What's ironic about that is that the Sox missed the playoffs that year.

Did you read what i posted? I was strictly talking about plate discipline. I've been on the "Blue Jays are overrated" bandwagon since day one, but what Station 13 posted is nonsense. Their problem is not going to be plate discipline. It will be pitching and injuries.

@SCM, don't know how i quoted Thunder.

I think you meant to quote SCM33.

It wasn't meant to be a debate.....just observations of the players you listed.

Arencibia and Ramus brings a career OBP of .312 and .278, obviously reflects their great ability to work the count and get on base. When I talk about 'working the count', I'm talking about their ability to get on base. Those guys sucks.

I'm a fan of Reyes. He is their best overall player. They need more players such as Reyes and not the hacks you named.

I'm skeptical on Bautista. He played only 90 games last season. He sat out this series with an injury. Who knows how it will affect him. How is this team the class of the division?

First off, it's not my fault you worded it poorly. "Working the count" and "getting on base" are clearly two different things. You were wrong in that respect, so i corrected you.

Second, i'm on board with the fact that the Jays are overrated. Not because i don't think they'll hit (they will) but because of how many health question marks that team has. Leading the team in that department are your favorite player ever and their "new ace" Josh J., and post-op Morrow.

Wow a lot of big starters getting their teeth kicked in today.

David Price gave up 8 to cleveland, Dickey gave up 8 to the Sox, Hamels gave up 8 to KC, Matt Cain gave up 7 to Stl. That's just what I've seen so far today

Tampa Bay was defeated 13-0 today by Terry Francona's Guardians!!

The stupid Orioles lost another 1-run game to the Twins.

The Yankees won, CC showed up and they beat up on Verlander, but lost the series to Detroit.

Red Sox lead the division!

This is the first team since 1957 to go the first six games without committing an error.

Aviles would have given us at least one error a game.

Iglesias: .529/.556/.647

small sample sizes rule!!

but if the trent continues...

Drew and Iggy will be fighting for SS, but as of now Iggy SHOULD start it till he slumps.

What's the significance of this?

It's linked to a post where he says he can't wait until WMB and Napoli start hitting to see what the lineup looks like. And since Napoli and WMB accounted for four homers and half the team's runs.......well, it makes sense.

I want the Red Sox to sign Ellsbury so badly

Mannyhof, I read in the Bleacher Report that Ellsbury said he would like to stay in Boston. Maybe some others picked up on that. It's the first time I've heard him say that and maybe with a solid year and a good team performance we might actually pull it off. I still think he bolts but not as much as I did before.

The guy is smokin' right now. Boras must have given him some of his FA juice in Arizona.

I'd love for Ellsbury to stay but if his price gets too high, I'm more than willing to let him walk. I'm not so sure he is ever going to be his 2011 self again but if he can perform well this year, I'll have no problem giving him a new contract so long as the money is within reason. If he asks for a 6-7 year deal at like 20 a year, he can go elsewhere.

Not even kidding: I benched Middlebrooks for this game. I thought he might struggle with the knuckleball.

Wish I was joking.

All the leagues I was in, no one drafted him at all.. After today he's 100% owned in ESPN leagues now.
