I remember reading somewhere that they literally had a "compendium" of evidence against A-Rod. MVP's missing the forest because of the trees here.

 

I'm not missing a forest. I just think without seeing evidence, Braun is the worse guy here and got off too lightly if ARod is getting 200 games...

He really isn't. He guilt-tripped the MLB into firing an employee, which is awful. But A-Rod, by all accounts, did at least three things (helping other people get PED's, f***ing up the investigation, attempting to bribe a witness) that are worse if you look at it objectively.

 

Don't get me wrong, i think Braun should have gotten worse punishment, but he had what A-Rod didn't: The foresight to give up after he got caught red-handed and accept a deal. A-Rod's increased penalty is in large part his own doing. He just had to shut his f***ing mouth and negotiate with the MLB instead of trying to bribe a witness and murk up the investigation.

If you commit a crime, obstruct the investigation and bribe a witness, you'll get 3 charges. The crime, obstruction, and bribery. That's what has ARod in a pickle here. If he just admitted to it up front and never f***ed around, he'd be eligible all yr next yr

Yankees Elimination Day seems to be on track for tomorrow. They've now allowed 18 more runs than they've scored. The 2008 team would've wiped the floor with this one.

It's amazing that they were 12 games over .500 at 30-18 with the cast of characters they had on the DL. I was flying high then because Jeter, Tex, Youk, ARod and Granderson were due back at any moment. Only 2 actually came back for good and neither until after the ASB. Add in the meltdown of CC and the complete and total implosion of Kuroda in the final month and we've got nothing. This is gonna start a long and arduous process back to the top that might take a few years time. I just hope we don't do something stupid like throw a ton of money and a first rounder at Choo. We need so much more than that to be competitive
