Despite the fact that he is a goddamned Yankee, I'm actually starting to feel a little bad for Kuroda. How many wins have been taken away from him by either the bullpen or the lack of offense? I believe both of Rivera's blown saves were in games that Kuroda stood to win. They finally win one of his starts and he doesn't even get the W because they couldn't score until the putrid, decaying remains of Lyle Overbay got a hit and then came around to score on an error.

Kuroda has been awesome and should be top 5 in CY voting this yr. The guy has just had some seriously s***** luck. If he put up that effort in any other year prior to this one, he'd be on his way to 20+ wins

He very well could end up being #2/3 at the end of the year. Felix or Darvish may run away with it simply because there is no offense in the West right now, and Colon will lose a truckload of votes because of the biogenesis scandal.

Yes, after yet another game-changing blown call by the umps. Overbay should have been rung up on a checked swing that went too far, which would have ended the inning 0-0. The crazy thing is that it was a virtual replay of the previous pitch, when the same checked swing got called a strike.

More replay reviews are definitely on the way.

Andy Petitte is getting his ass lit up by the offensive juggernaut known as the Chicago White Sox. 10 hits, 5 ER through 2.2 IP with 63 pitches.

I listened to Suzyn Waldman talking to Fraud after the game, and he's added a new religious perspective that is completely nauseating. He should be thanking the holy trinity of Conte, Bosch and Galea instead

Just heard that idiot John Sterling calling Gardner's walk off HR. "Gardy goes yardy" He should be shot. What an embarassment to the NYY.

Shot? And you got votes for "nicest member"?

Yes I do because no one likes John Sterling and I'm nice to 98% of the members out here. Sorry if my exaggeration offended you. It was a joke.

It didn't offend me. I was just surprised that you were calling for Jon Sterling to be shot.

One bad day during a game that was well in hand. Good to see Soriano getting hot. This Yankee team might have some fight left in them, although Hughes is pitching tomorrow, so there is about as strong an autoloss as can be

Scoscia is a guy who plays small ball to the hilt and relies on a strong pen to manage. This yr, he has a bunch of overpaid and one dimensional hitters who are slumping and a pen that sucks on the left and right side.

When Trout hits FA, he will get one of the largest contracts in baseball history

He's quite the only guy who might lived up to whatever he receives. Again, he'll be just 26 years old.

Absolutely. And the funny thing is, he is actually having a better offensive season than his MVP runnerup season of a year ago. His OPS is .999 with a ridiculous .425OBP. He's "only" stolen 26 bases, but is on pace for around 35-40 with a 30HR pace and a near 50 double pace. This kid is one of a kind
