Making this now because I may not be home in time tomorrow.

Just win. Lester needs to get back on his old track.

The Sox are facing a guy named Deduno, which sounds like either a part of the intestinal tract or one of the s***** X-Men that didn't make it from the comics to the film.

Beat these Minnesotan bastards and show them how New Englanders can f*** your s*** up.

Just.

f***ing.

Win.

YOTN "Threatening, Menacing, Strongly Encouraging While Holding a Tire Iron" Mojo, signing off. f*** you, anyone who is not the Red Sox.

The Red Sox are facing Samuel Deduno (3.13 ERA, 1.56 WHIP) for the first time. The Sox are hitting pitchers with a statistical profile similar to Deduno's (power/groundball pitcher, per BB-ref) to the tune of a .750 OPS. Given Deduno's should-play-for-the-Twins type BB/9 over 6 (oh wait, he does), we should expect some fireworks.

Biggest concerns:

Lester has been atrocious at home.

Beckett is out of shape.

Red Sox SHOULD be guaranteed 2/4 but I hope they can muster three or the sweep!

Not only has Lester been less than desirable but the Sox have yet to step up against these chump teams. They have no killer instinct at all. At the times when we should have and needed to hear the roar of the lion we have been treated to the meow....meow of the pussy cat.

Our pitching needs to be good. Bashing any team into submission 4 times in a row is difficult. There's a good chance that there will be at least 1 low scoring close game in this series. The pitching will have to win that game.

RED SOX (53-52)

Ellsbury CF

Crawford LF

Pedroia 2B

Gonzalez 1B

Ross DH

Lavarnway C

Middlebrooks 3B

Kalish RF

Ciriaco SS

So Lavarnway hasn't had a major league AB this season, but Bobby V is batting him in front of Middlebrooks tonight. His lineups usually leave me shaking my head.

From 2008-2011, I would wear my lucky Lester jersey every single Lester start. And for those years, he was nearly an ace. Chicken and beer gate comes along, and I may or may not have stopped the tradition. I think its time to pull it back out for this game.

Lmao this reminds me of something I used to do in 2010. I had a rotation for red sox player t shirts during game day. I did it throughout the whole season :harhar:

I think he will be okay. I picked him up in a sell-low trade for one of my fantasy leagues. The guy who had him is known as a mush. He drafts good players who turn to s*** every year, so I was very concerned when he drafted AGon and Lester in the first 2 rounds... And rightly so. Hopefully, getting him away from that jinx will turn him around.

So it looks like Jon's cutter is moving a lot right now' date=' no?[/quote']

It ends up in the heart of the plate on both 2Ks, luckily it didn't get destroyed.

This Dueduno guy throws in the 80s' date=' has no control and no special off speed. He shouldn't survive 5 here.[/quote']

Sounds like the perfect formula to go 7 shut out innings against us.
