Okay, I was just wondering how a day in which I was violently beaten (not in a good way) and lost a job interview could possibly get any worse. This is apparently what I get for wondering. f*** you, universe.

Who does Brian Cashman blow to get all of these good deals? I swear to god he has photos of every other GM cheating on their wives...with another man.

That said I'm angrier about Detroit getting Anibal Sanchez (and Omar Infante) from Miami.

The guy is a consumate professional with not many good years left. He deserves to play on a team of his peers and have a chance at a world series ring.

Then why did he sign with the bankee$?

Dear Yankees,

We're sorry we traded you an injured Michael Pineda. Please have Ichiro.

Signed,

Seattle Mariners Management

I still think that the Yankees won the Pineda/Montero deal at the time of the trade too. The wildcard is Campos.

I mean for f****s sake that Faruhquar guy had been on waivers a dozen times this year.

Ichiro has a .288 OBP. Some of you should do a little research before you whine about 40 year old trash.

40 year old trash? You should get your facts straight, he's 38. Plus with this Yankees lineup he's bound to see better pitches to hit so it's only a matter of time before his OBP is above 300.

He still has his facts essentially straight. What you're pushing isn't fact. Most people are whining about him being on the Yanks because he was so likeable until now.

Anyways, don't be a homer Div. He blows right now, and he's a singles hitter. Now he can't get hits. Its not about the pitches he gets, Ichiro is washed up.

Oh 38, so sorry. He's still old as hell and is a shell of his former self. Ichiro is horrible, that's why you got him for two C level pitchers.

If I thought you were capable of taking responsibility for what you say, I'd look forward to having you eat your words.

Instead of whining about him joining a rival team for half a season they should be happy for him he has an opportunity to earn a ring.

One of the things that has happened to Ichiro over the last few seasons is that his batting average against pitches out of the strike zone has declined by a significant amount.

Even though his hitting ability has clearly diminished, he's valuable in other aspects. He's ranked second among major league rightfielders with 12 Defensive Runs Saved, a stat that combines his ability to turn batted balls into outs with the deterrent value of his throwing arm. The only player who ranks higher is Josh Reddick.

Ichiro also has with 15 stolen bases. That’s more than anyone else on the Yankees this season.

Also, they're not really "whining", they're disappointed. No one wants to see Ichiro win a ring, and the Yanks aren't getting passed the Rangers anyways.

He has a lower BA against all pitches. Next.

Yanks recently found out Gardner needs season ending surgery so they went out and got a player in Ichiro to replace his speed and defense.
