  1. I'm not saying this will make A Rod look good, but the last thing I want to see is a rival team HELPING him be productive.
  2. Who else but the fans of Boston would blow out the loudest cheer of the year the moment their pitcher throws away the game. Then, innings later when this fact finally makes it through their thick skulls, they're left muttering, "f***ing Dempster." I'm now convinced years of watching these dunderheads play has irreversibly lowered the collective IQ of all Redsox fans. Good thing humans made it out of the food chain or the entire city of Boston would be located between two sesame seed buns.
  3. Yankees beat you guys like Jared Remy's girlfriend.
  4. Up till now, it's been A-Rod's fault. Now it's the manager's fault for allowing him to ever step up to the plate. There's absolutely ZERO reason to stick with him. Let him rest up till the start of '13.
  5. Boston was a just a tiny part of our season. You could point to any single game the Yankees lost and say it was nothing to be proud of just as you could point to any single Boston win and say Sox fans can be proud of the team. This thread is about winning the AL East, a season-long accomplishment much more significant than any single win or loss.
  6. I'm damn proud of how they finished the season, winning 16 of the last 21, winning under pressure when they had to for an extended period of time. They had many key players including both pitchers and bats get injured and out of the lineup for many games, but every time there was another Yankee able to step up and fill the hole. supported each other. They took advantage of the fact that high quality and high character players jump at the chance to play in pinstripes by adding an old, washed-up Ichiro, found a role for him, and he was happy to oblige hitting over .300. Past-his-prime captain Jeter managed to stave off retirement for another year and finish 5th in the AL batting title. Very satisfying to have them play to their potential.
  7. Enough off topic discussion. Can we get back to the game at hand?
  8. But, but...2004 n' s***, right?
  9. Yurnel himself, as a matter of fact.
  10. Is this a Boston fan's own sad version of "fantasy baseball"?
  11. Gotta say you got what you deserved with Youk's reply. You posted an off base knee jerk assessment mirroring that of so many Sox fans' to their own managers. Difference is that the Yanks are doing fine, better than most in fact. You've been spending too much time in here trying to fit in, and got infected with the Sad Sack mentality. Hit and run sniping is the only safe way to to interact with this crowd. You can't soar like an eagle when you fly with the turkeys.
  12. Good spot for Marti to bunt.
  13. "Ichiro has a .288 OBP. Some of you should do a little research before you whine about 40 year old trash." "Oh 38, so sorry. He's still old as hell and is a shell of his former self. Ichiro is horrible, that's why you got him for two C level pitchers."-SemperFi Sox "If I thought you were capable of taking responsibility for what you say, I'd look forward to having you eat your words."-Me Despite his absence, I'll still claim it's lunchtime for SemperFi Sox.
  14. Holy s***, Tito called that one on the NOSE!
  15. I think they keep getting distracted by the game at hand.
  16. If I thought you were capable of taking responsibility for what you say, I'd look forward to having you eat your words.
  17. And you're playing the same role many Yankees fans did after the first three Yankee wins in that very year's ALCS. Why on earth would you intentionally set yourself up for failure again? It's like Bart Simpson repeatedly sticking his finger in the light socket.
  18. Game one is "Bring Your Pet Night".
  19. Uhhh, cause they taste good? Probably taste better than a dick anyhow.
  20. With Proctor pitching, if Crawford hasn't struck out, the game may never had ended.
  21. Sox have held the Yankees to two hits over 10 innings.
