Wow' date=' you must not have watched the sox at all in the 90's... This team wasn't going to be a 90+ win team forever. Every franchise (other than the Yankees since 1995) has ebs and flows. The sad part of it all is that we are wasting Lester, Buchholz, Pedroia, and Ellsbury prime years.[/quote']

When you have our payroll, you better be damn close to a 90+ win team every season or heads should roll.

Same game each time we play the Rangers. Hard to believe that this team was bankrupt just 2 years ago. Now averaging the 2nd most fans per home game and running the team the way the Red Sox used to.

I think we should try to sell Beckett and Crawford at the trade deadline' date=' see what we can fetch back.[/quote']

A bag of horse s*** and a career AA reliever.

who the f*** is going to buy crawford? get your head straight dude. this isn't MLB The Show.

Beckett is different. That is actually a plausible guy to shop and should be shopped just to see what he could bring in even if we had to toss in someone like bard and/or someone.

This is the perfect storm. These Rangers are a hitting machine and our pitching sucks.

Now is becoming a batting practice.

We made some bad decisions, had some horrible injury problems... I agree that this is a management problem... Our pitching troubles should have been more heavily addressed but honestly did you expect Beckett and Lester to both have ERA's north of 4.50? No. I don't think anyone could have seen that coming. If Beckett and Lester were pitching to their career norms we would probably be fighting for a division title right now.

Cherington did absolutely nothing in the offseason to address our lazy rotation. Or should I say LL did nothing.

Dude my head is soo crookid' ...

Their are quite a few reports that a seriously deal is brewing between the Marlins and Red Sox... I think that unloading crawford and possibly picking up Hanley could be a good long term deal for the Red Sox. Sure Hanley is a headcase, but he has more upside and is younger than crawford.

Is there any team better at just bending over and taking it from the stronger ones without even trying to fight back? I mean, I'm trying to be optimistic, I have been all season, but it's becoming increasingly difficult when this happens all the time. They need to figure out if there is a root cause of all of these problems.

I can understand Beckett's decline as he is aging and no longer a power pitcher. Lester is a complete mystery. Some theories have come out today about how hitters are seeing Lester much better than they did in the past. Whatever the issue, it should be a fixable flaw that should have never gotten to the point it is now.

Lazy rotation? Please. Do you think Lester isn't working hard this season? Do you think Beckett doesn't want to win? Stop buying into the Boston media machine that lives to crush and run players out of town.

Well, some rolled. But wasn't enough. Some more will likely roll in the offseason again.

Don't waste your time. He's "that" type of poster.

I absolutely believe Beckett doesn't give two shits. You would have thought he'd come into ST in shape ready to prove people wrong....wrong on both accounts.

Have HP umps completely done away with the bottom third of the zone?

I heard things about Salty's height being an issue, I'm actually starting to believe it.
