He also implies that these players are over conditioned. As he said they you can't pull fat. I think he has a point. Ballplayers today are over trained. When I played our coaches wouldn't let us lift weights or swim because we may pull a muscle . They didn't want our muscles to become too tight.

More good points. It's too bad they can't find a happy medium.

But, is anyone else surprised by how many empty seats there are tonight? My god, it’s a Saturday night and a good match-up.

Native, you would know more about this than I would but I noticed it last night and noticing it again tonight....is this not the latest arriving MLB crowd anybody has ever seen on a regular basis? I saw what I though were people coming in to the park and taking their seats in the 5th inning last night.

Anything to that Native?

I don't think we are going to get many runs against Price. He is one hell of a pitcher.

He's pitching his azz off. Hope we can get that run back and then some. Will be tough.

Yeah, I guess there are more late comers then most clubs have. Every time I go I notice people getting there in the 5th and 6th. I think the drive excuse is retarded though if that's where this is headed. It takes me 30 min to get there from the Tampa Bay Airport area (Town & Country).

:D No Kidding. Great player but he's kind of a drama queen tonight.

Signed a deal to go in HOF as a Ray.

HOF said nope.

Buch could have had a strikeout, he just used a bad pitch against S. Rodriguez. i hate it when this happens. and it almost always happens with us inadvertently.

If there wasn't so many good rookies this year' date=' I would say will Middlebrooks would have a good shot at win rookie of the year.[/quote']

It's too bad Mike Trout thinks he's Micky Mantle

i think Mike Trout wins it for the AL.

If we only still had Youk' date=' right?[/quote']

What he's doing for Chicago wouldn't be happening for Boston.

Hope this sparks WMB!

I do too. He really is good. But, you have to give it to Middlebrooks; not many rookies pack a legends bag out of town like he did.

Boy does WMB have pop in that bat or what. Kinda' shocked that Price made that kind of mistake 0-2.

To be honest though I have seen Price do that before. It is almost like he has such faith in his stuff on given nights that he just forgets that good hitters are still going to hit your mistakes and if you make one bad enough it could easily be gone.

In that particular case, he could have almost thrown any other pitch in any other place and not seen it heading over the wall. Credit WMB as well for being able to catch that with an 0-2 count. Very bad pitch in a very bad spot but he must have incredibly quick hands to have done that in that situation. Again it was a very bad pitch but I sure as hell would not have been looking there and I doubt WMB was either.
