Understood...we got a pitching prospect, which was OK, but Lillibridge is taking up a roster spot...we already have backup infielders and outfielders...they had to DFA Germano to make room for Ellsbury. It's kind of a head-scratcher.

The big problem is that he's almost 29 years old. It isn't like he's going to suddenly peak and start producing... the guy is a AA player.

I hope he is the first to go when Crawford comes back on Monday. Pedroia is going to be back next Thursday or Friday, hopefully. That means Gomez probably goes back down to AAA. Hopefully Middlebrooks and Gonzalez are both fully healthy by then. I am ready for a lineup that consists of Ellsbury, Crawford, Pedroia, Ortiz, Gonzalez, Middlebrooks, Salty, Ross/Sweeney, and Aviles/Ciriaco. I think we obviously need to keep Ciriaco. Punto stays in the majors. Nava probably stays as the 5th OF until we can try to trade him or Sweeney. I really hope we keep Sweeney.

I saw him in Spring training. I liked his stuff. He also did well in AAA. I am a bit surprised that he got DFA'd.
