Got back in time to see Bard exit and Miller....give up a f***ing gopher ball. Geez was that pitch ever served up.

 

I have posted elsewhere that I have come to believe that Bard was less experiment and more the Sox simply wanting to get the innings out of Bard in the 5 hole. They did not want to bring anybody else in and needed innings from somebody. However I no longer think this was an experiment at all. I see no evidence of the Sox trying to help Bard actually develop as a starter. They have just left him out there time and time again in situations where he seems to learn nothing and they do not avail themselves of the opportunity to teach him anything. The difference between the way they have handled Doubront and the way they have handled Bard cannot be missed. I actually think so far the Sox have gotten the better of the deal. If anything I think Bard gets f***ed in this deal along with the fans.
