Thank God he's ready. That was an extremely quick recovery from TJ.

I read somewhere that he has altered his hand position, not his arm slot, but his hand to generate more of a downward plane to have a better effect against RHH, and that it's worked extremely well so far.

Not to mention that against LHH during his rehab, they went 0-8 with 7 K's against Hill.

Between Hill and Taz, this bullpen looks a hell of a lot better now that it did just 3 or 4 days ago.

It's about f***ing time... Thomas never belonged on the big league roster in the first place.

I believe that it was his second TJ

Tazawa would not be available tonight but as soon as he is again, I would give Tazawa a shot at the closer role. I guess if they need someone tonight they would toss Aceves out there again. I want him outta' that role ASAP, for his own good as much as anything else.

In those attempts to throw over 95 MPH they could screw his arm. Yes, I do not want see him as a closer. Give him his 2011 role for once an for all where he was very good and meantime share Tazawa and Padilla in that spot.

I am happy that there is no more Thomas. Hopefully Hill can stay healthy. He had a quick recovery. Almost too fast that it concerns me. I think we can count on Hill, Tazawa, Aceves, Padilla, Morales, and maybe even Atchinson in the pen. I like that the pen is progressively getting better.

This is very encouraging and reflects the same opinion a lot of people on this board have about Doubront.

From Knobler of CBS Sports:*@DKnobler: I don't know if Red Sox fans will like this or not, but one scout said Doubront reminds him of Andy Pettitte.

Give me that comparison all day, any day. Especially for a #4/5 starter.

Padilla as closer? And you thought you had nausea yesterday...

I'd keep Doubie as well. I'm not sure Youk has much trade value at the moment.

I'm not a Garza fan. (maybe it's the soul patch?)

"• It was interesting to see literally the entire team watching some funny clips on MLB Network before batting practice on Thursday. Meanwhile Josh Beckett has taken to playing cards with teammates before games and Dustin Pedroia has swapped cribbage with Terry Francona for "Words With Friends" against Adrian Gonzalez." -Abraham Boston Globe

For all you Beckett is bad for the clubhouse guys out there... Looks like he is making an effort to be a better teammate (not that we know he was actually a bad teammate to begin with).
