maybe cause we're paying him $11 or 12 million but I'm not really a fan. Atichson is probably better right now than Soriano too.

I appreciate what you're doing but we have to be realistic. Your least athletic batboy could be our best relief pitcher.

You keep saying that but look at my posts. Nothing says troll about them. Just solid takes.

You're just heavily biased towards Red Sox which is blinding you from seeing that I'm right.

I've had this discussion with a more balanced group of people on other boards and they all agree this team is just a joke and worst then last year by a mile.

I didn't say anything about the Red Sox. Just you. The Red Sox look pathetic so far this season. That doesn't change your posting style. Trollish.

He only posts when things are going bad for the Red Sox. NEVER when things are going good. A troll IMO.

I've been a member here since 09.

I comment on the team on what I'm seeing. What in the world have the Red Sox done good for the past 3 years for me to be in awe with them? First I was kidding but you are just a homer.

Not sure why he took Doubront out knowing that the pen is a bunch of arsonists. If he was struggling I would have said otherwise but he was cruising.

Hind sight! If the bull pen can't hold an 8 run lead with 9 outs left you really are in sad shape. We're in very sad shape.

Doubront, who was the guy who that SP would have replaced, sure looked good today huh?

I love that this is "the result". It's April, and there are still options and possibilities.

With another SP Bard could've been pitching right now, or in the next inning. Now Ace is your only option in order to eat these two innings. We'll see how it will go, though, but again we are playing with fire.

This is absolutely embarrassing. Our pitching staff has been atrocious from starters to the whole bullpen from the get-go. Boston can slug games out with the best in baseball but my god, at some point pitching has to do their part. It's one thing for Lester, Beckett, Buchholz, Doubront and Bard to do just enough to get through 3, 4 or 5 innings. Once the bullpen is called on, all bets are off. From last year to right now, you could go look in the boxscore of a lot of Red Sox games and see they could put up 14 runs. The problem came when you looked on the opposing team's boxscore and noticed how they scored 15 or more. Now just 13 games in and Red Sox pitching has given up an MLB leading 24 homeruns with an ERA well over 6.00. Today we lead 9-0 until Tex broke through with a homerun. The Yankees struck with 7 more in the 7th and what was once a game well in hand is now a game where Boston is trying tooth and nail just to survive.

Still the Sox cling to a 1 run lead and are in position to leave with a win. Exactly where is the problem? Have our pitching completely forgot how to pitch? Is Salty a terrible game manager or is Valentine a flop? Either way if a pitching staff struggles to keep their heads above the water, good hitting alone won't be enough to reach the postseason.

Reck, consider the source.. all boards have these homies that play the "You are a troll" game. They think they are better fans because of blind, stupid loyalty. Besides, we all see who it is that keeps the troll conversation going.

I have never felt this sick over a regular season game in a long time..... Oh wait I felt the same way last year late in the season vs Baltimore.

Bard has officially become the greener grass on the other side of the fence at this point.

Anyone else remember the Bard of last April and September? Cause I do.

I don't get what is it about understanding that Bard was made a starter because he asked to be made a starter. This wasn't a ploy to save money, Bard heavily pushed for it, and BV was on board the minute he joined the Sox. He was going to become a starter.

Managers lose a lot of games every year nowadays taking out starters who are going good.

It just ain't rational. 100 pitches?

Bobby V isn't so smart. This will be a long season. Bring back Tito.

Why not cut out the middle men and get a good reliever? Should be cheaper.
