The Sox aren't hitting anybody right now. The guys pitching against them all look like the second coming of Greg Maddux and we know they are not that.

Hitting can be streaky though. They are not pitching badly unless Beckett comes out and stinks up the place again. If they end up with one good start (Lester) one so-so start (Buch) and one s*** start (Beckett) each run through those three, that is not going to translate into even so-so pitching. Two wasted good starts by Lester.

So I expect them to hit. I hope their pitching turns out OK but it is so iffy at this point we will just have to wait and see. Their defense is consistently bad and that bothers me. If Pedey were just an average second baseman, their defense would totally suck.

My roommate keeps watching "The September To Never Remember" He finds this funny that we suck.

Why do we suck?

I'm actually so livid with this team that I am sellin my tickets to Sundys game and to the Patriots Day game.

Not going to support a team who puts out that little effort. This team made the most seamless possible transition from September to April, and they are still playing with zero heart and even less effort. Pathetic.

I guess a pathetic team deserves pathetic fans, such as yourself.

If you really want to stick it to the Sox, you can donate the tickets to me. I'll promise not to send any $ Aramark's way either.

I'm going to that Sunday game, and I won't be selling my tickets. Mainly because I will be right by the bullpens and likely inebriated and I would like to give them a piece of my mind

It is kinda nice to be worrying about the offense instead of the pitching for a change. I'm not sure which is more frustrating though...

Not sarcasm.

I'm really thinking about not going. It's not at all enjoyable to watch this team play right now, so why would I pay money to go watch them lose over and over again??

I wouldn't pay to watch them play last September, so what has changed?? Sure, it's been 6 games, but what has changed with this team from last September to this April? The pitching? It's just as bad. The offense? Scoring far less runs, hell even last September they were scoring 5-6 a game.

Listen i undertsand the frustration from last year and the last 6 clusterf***s. But i think

we need to be rational and see where we are at around 1st-2nd week in May.

Fine, if they right the ship then that's fine. But you're telling me that you're proud of the effort that this team is giving right now??

I'm sorry, call me a bandwagon fan if you want to even though I've been cheering for this team since 1997, but there's a difference between a team trying to grind it out vs an entitled team that is reportedly more concerned about clubhouse issues than winning games.

I can't fathom how some of these guys can sit there and go through another start like this after last September. Good teams find a way to win baseball games.

You were the most enthusiastic fan in the off season. You gave some of us reasons to dream big. I warned you about that. Lower your expectations. Expect injuries and carnage. Expect to see Ohlendorf as the #2 starter and you will not feel so bad when they actually play the games. Your expectations were too high.

I never said i was proud of the effort or the display thus far. Also my apologies if you have

been a fan that long. I do not think they are more concerned about the clubhouse issues

i think that is the media completely doing this and hence why the shitstorm is lingering.

700 I think expectations should always be high especially as a fan of a team that we love

and obsess over. I always have hope that's what keeps us going not just watching a game

but in life and beyond. But i can sense something is different this year then the previous

teams we have put on the field and it is worrisome and unacceptable.

That's not the situation. This team has the players to win 94-98 games. It's the way that the players are playing.

Today, for example, are you kidding me?? You let Ricky Romero mow through the lineup without even putting up an effort? The guy was at like 90 pitches through 8 IP. For the love of God, grind out an AB and work the pitch count if he's so much better than you that you can't hit him.

Apparently, the Blue Jays pitching staff has just gone from one of the worst in the MLB to one of the best in the MLB, according to some of the hitters. All I hear about is how Henderson Alvarez reminds the players of King Felix, how Kyle Drabek is a completely different pitcher than he was last year, and now today, I'm sure they're going to say Romero had some of the nastiest stuff they've seen.

Stop making excuses and manufacture some damn runs. First thing - move Youkilis down to around the 8 hole. That guy is absolutely clueless at the plate right now.

Hell, I'm fine with making a drastic move. Bring up Middlebrooks, he's cruising right now in AAA and hitting .364 with a .955 OPS in that tiny ass sample size, but regardless, it's not Youk's numbers that I'm concerned about. It's his approach, his swing, his timing, his defense, everything.

The Greek God of Walks hasn't gotten a free pass yet, he's struck out in 5 of 16 at bats, and when he's not striking out, he's grounding into double plays. Of his 16 at bats so far, he's either GIDP or K'd in 7 of them. He's trying to pull everything in sight and he has zero plate discipline. And that's not even mentioning the game yesterday where he turned into a spectator at 3rd base while Encarnacion conveniently went from 2nd to 3rd on a ground ball by Lawrie that Punto had no play on at 1st but would have had a play at 3rd if Youk was covering.

God, I hate Youkilis.

I am always hopeful and from that stems enthusiasm, but you can't expect too much. If you do, disappointment follows like night follows day.
