Who is Horseface?

It could either be Mark Teixeira or John Lackey, but I assume Lackey would less likely be on base, let alone less likely to make it close to 3rd base at all.

Edit: Dark horse candidate (pun intended) could be Sarah Jessica Parker.

In this case it was Texeira.

idk with all the time he was covering bases on all the hits he was given up' date=' it's probably more likely than you think.[/quote']

I like your thought process, although that would mean he's on defense and couldn't be thrown out, let alone by an OF who would be on the same team.

Nonetheless I'd love to see Reddick embed a baseball into Lackey's temple. It might not fix his pitching, but it might fix him talking like Ray Romano with Down Syndrome.

This season is bizarre. Don't misinterpret my feelings, I love it when teams that don't make the postseason every year suddenly make a run, it makes things much more interesting. However, it is still bizarre to look at the standings and realize what's going on.

The Sox are struggling to keep up with the Orioles

The White Sox are leading the Tigers

The Angels are making a serious run at the Rangers

There is a very good chance that both the Nationals and the Pirates will end up in postseason play, while the Phillies are entrenched in last place

I doubt I would have predicted any of this at the beginning of the season. I mean, I did think that the Pirates would finally end their streak of losing seasons, but even with Burnett, Barajas, and all of their young talent, to be this far over .500 in August is awesome.

All in all I am loving the twists and turns of this season.

If you took out the part where I'm a Sox fan' date=' this season's twists and turns would be awesome to watch.[/quote']If by twists you mean that you feel like your balls are being twisted when you watch Sox games, I can identify with that.

That's not as hard for you, since when someone twists your balls you can just pick them up off of the floor.

The Angels are floundering badly lately. They are losing to the Rays tonight 9-1 in the 4th inning. The perfect tonic for the Angels will be playing the Red Sox at Fenway this upcoming week. We have pulled many teams out of slumps this season and set them on a winning path.

a700, the Angels are the most dangerous WC team, IMO. If they make a push to the playoffs and Haren starts coming back to form, they'd have the most dangerous top 3 and the most dangerous lineup.

Even without Haren the three man rotation of Weaver, Greinke, Wilson will be tough to beat.

Exactly. If they and Detroit are on the outside looking in' date=' then we really have a pretty straight shot to the WS.[/quote']

Rays can beat you. So can Texas. White Sox aren't pushovers either.

Twins pitcher De Vries who recently looked like an ace against the Sox got battered by the Rays tonight lasting only 1 1/3 innings giving up 7 runs.

I watched him pitch a lot for the Rockcats when I worked there. He was pretty good, but more often used as a long reliever. Heck, a lot of the current Twins players I've watched and have autographs from.

Hurricane Isaac has caused the Rays and A's to cancel their game tomorrow. A's were in Boston when Irene came through exactly a year ago tomorrow. Ironic.

I was wondering why they had no game scheduled for today.
