That sucks bro. Thinking of getting it fixed? I don't think you have much gaming time with MVP Jr anyways.

Nah, I'd most likely buy a new 360 instead.

Xbox - red ring (replaced)

360 - red ring (never replaced)

PS3 - harddrive fail (paper weight)

I just have s*** luck.

It has little to do with me patting myself on the back. It's about you going overboard. You ranted all offseason about Tek and Wake for no reason. Now you believe there is some sort of Bailey injury conspiracy. There's not always an underlying mystery and intrigue with every little detail.

Overboard my rosy royal ruby red rear end!!!!!!! Bailey has had this thumb problem for a week and a half and we only get ready to handle it NOW???? Why wasn't the front office pro-active and get to the bottom of this injury as soon as it happened. It has nothing to do with conspiracy, just a continuation of dumb moves that have plagued us for the past few years. I thought this ended when we g ot rid of Epstein and Francona but we still make mistakes by signing the wrong guys (Ortiz) and waste money there that could have been used for pitching which we frankly need.

Perhaps you have a lot more confidence in the front office that I do but I've seen what's gone down the past few years to make me more than a little skeptical about their acumen. I recall the medical staff refusing to give Buccholz an MRI last June because they said the injury wasn't serious when it was damn serious enough to lose him for the rest of the season. I remember the year before when Epstein and his puppet made that disastrous decision to move Ellsbury to left field to "save his legs" and lost him to injury and then compounded it by misdiagnosing his injury that resulted in losing him for the whole damn season. Or the initial misdiagnosis of Pedroia's injury and then compounding that by saying he was ready to come back when he most certainly wasn't. Or maybe the Youkilis misdiagnosis in the 2009 season when he was supposedly out for a day or two when it turned out for over two weeks when they misdiagnosed that injury as well.

True, I have a tendency to climb the wall and go on rants but I think from what has gone down around the team since 2008 makes me wonder why more of us haven't become seriously more concerned with the direction of our team.

You mean like the one that you just went on?

I think you take the stuff too personal Fred, like they are doing things deliberately to piss you off.

I also question some of the stuff they do, but there is no need to take it to the level you do sometimes. They arent the CIA. There is no covert OPS. There are no men in black.

Its just baseball, its just sports. I love to go to the games. I love to watch them on TV and I love to talk about them. I love to question them. I love to argue about them. I love supporting them. I love hating them. I love everything about them good or bad.

I think they have made a bunch of bad mistakes and that they spend their money wrong. I think the FO concerns themselves with too many things that have nothing to do with the product on the field.

Living your life through a forum and wasting the amount of energy you do (with the rants you already admitted you go on) just isnt worth it. There is a reason why I have been here since 2005 and my post count is as low as it is......Its because there are other things in the world that are more concerning to me than the Boston Red Sox.

Relax. Drink a beer. Enjoy your health at your age.

And change that creepy ass avatar of you smiling at all of us (coming from the guy with the grim reaper avatar). Its weird.

There's a difference between being passionate and crazed. Where's the enjoyment in ALWAYS being pissed off and angry about the Red Sox?

Will they win the WS every year? No. Is it possible to enjoy a season if they don't winit all? Yes.

SBF, it's ironic that you've chosen a Red Sox coffin, because this team will put you in the grave if you can't learn to relax a bit. Are there times when it's appropriate to be pissedoff? Of course, but not every single day. Getting pissed off about meaningless s*** is a one way ticket to a heart attack. It's not worth it.

To each his own. For someone blessed with a loving wife and a baby, you should probably have less anger too. You don't portray yourself as an upbeat personality either. Fred may criticize baseball players and FO personnel who are public figures who aren't' even aware of his opinions. You, on the other hand seem intent on criticizing other posters for being who they are. These posters come here for enjoyment, but you continually belittle those who you don't like. I don't think you are in any position to characterize anyone as being negative.

What was it that you called me, "dickwad?"

Pot meet kettle.

I have not belittled anyone. I just think SBF would be happier if he calmed down a bit.

Yes, and we all need life advice from you.

Please guys, don't get into a tizzy fit among yourselves because of me. I do rant and easily get pissed off but being in my early 70's people like me were that way way way way back and I appreciate SCM and MVP 78 asking me to try and calm myself. They're good guys as far as I'm concerned. 700 is close to being my best friend on this board so I really wish you guys would stop arguing among yourselves.

700, since you seem to understand me the best it must be because you have old Brooklyn blood in you. As your Dad could attest old Dodger fans were rabid, diehard, ardent, passionate and a little crazed. When I lived in Queens, whenever Brooklyn lost I would be the one who my friends ribbed and kidded the most. It took me almost five decades to find another team so to me the Red Sox are still a novelty and it really kills me when things go wrong.

I promise all of you this. I will do my damndest to cool my rhetoric this coming season, but to you SCM I tried to change my avatar but can't seem to find the means to do it. I'll keep t rying. I don't like that picture either.

Come on guys, let's not get any thumb injuries from angry typing on here, I doubt the front office would let you get an MRI.

Per 98.5: Andrew Bailey heading to Cleveland to have a second opinion on his thumb. Indications at this point are not good and he may require surgery.

Redsox 2011 "Beer and Chicken"

Redsox 2012 "Thumbgate"

You get what you pay for. Unf***ingbelievable.

I thought we ended the jinxes in 2004 SCM. Seems to me that we've been subjected to more than our share of these tragic events since we won our second title in 2007. I mean, does this s*** ever end? I hope Bobby has a plan to work out of this because it is going to take all the managerial acumen the guy possesses. What about Cook? Think he may have earned a shot in the rotation? The guy has pitched well all Spring; maybe he will be one of our new acquisitions who will not come up a turkey. I'd be willing to give him a shot.

No. They have decided that Bard will start. I wanted him in the bullpen but thats not going to happen.

Find another option, you dont move Bard back and forth. Pick a role for him and stick to it regardless.

Bailey has now qualified to wear an "Injury Prone" insignia on his lapel. That decreases his value.

Unless this is just a sheath (and I am sure the sox would have leaked it if it was) then he is likely out until the ASB. Imagine 80 games with a closer who shrivels in big spots and a converted long man closing out games. It's kinda funny that the Yankee cast-offs will be shutting things down for you, although neither should have been traded/released IMO

So the Yankees DL a guy, and that's a fabrication, he's really healthy and this is roster shenanigans. Same day, mind you, the Sox send a guy to a specialist, and they are obviously covering up a more serious injury. Shocking. Love that consistency.

I'm just getting around to it right now at the end of spring training, but why didn't Alex Wilson pitch more often during Spring Training? He supposedly had the ability to be a solid 'pen option but he threw only one inning. Injury?

Morales might be a sleeper closer option. He's got great stuff and has closed before. Bobby V had him close today.

Wilson got blasted in his only outing of the Spring.

That's all I know about it.

I believe TheKilo made it.

What happened to that guy? Such a great member.

If I remember right, he got temp banned.......was pissed off about it, created another username and said goodbye.

He came back for a couple of posts, but disappeared again.

He was a funny guy. TS was great back then. For what its worth though, TS seems to have gotten much better over the last month or so.

Any ideas of what improved it?
