Get a dozen of Lavernway's rookie cards.

This guy maybe the RHd power they've needed all season.

There he is, folks, sitting in Pawtucket.

On that note, talking investments, I'd seriously consider picking up a few Jerry Sands off the Dodgers. Kid's amazing.

What worries me about Salty is his defense/catching-fundamentals. How good is this kid at defense?

Salty is pretty good defensively, and will get better.

The guy is big and physical. Switch hitter with power both ways.

He and Pedey have been the best hustlers on the team.

He has worn down late in the season, but he will get better.

Catching in Boston is tough--the pitchers don't hold runners on, and

there's Wakefield to contend with.

Oh my God, why are so many Sox pitchers in love with the straight change. It is the most dangerous pitch in baseball. It has to either be out of the strike zone low or low inner half or outer half in the strike zone. If it is low in the strike zone and in the middle of the plate all the guy has to do is keep the head of the bat in the hitting zone as long as possible and he will be rewarded with not just a single but often will get extra bases or even a home run. Watch how many guys just drag the head of the bat through the hitting zone on that pitch. We saw it in spades last night with Beckett.
