He couldn't be worse. His ERA is 6.18 and it is the middle of August. That's historically bad.

 

he does have a history of being a second half starter.

 

2009 before ASB - 4.93 ERA, 1.45 WHIP

2009 after ASB - 3.05 ERA, 1.11 WHIP

 

2010 before ASB - 4.78 ERA, 1.60 WHIP

2010 after ASB - 3.97 ERA, 1.22 WHIP

This just in. The Clubhouse Boy for the Red Sox just tweeted that Lackey has been abusing mouthwash between innings. He is apparently gargling and spitting like crazy.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

If the offense is MIA, it'll have more to do with King Felix being on the mound.

No. Even when Beckett faces scrubs(like his last start) the offense just disappears. Plus I think we it Felix pretty nice last time we faced him. I believe Wake was on the mound.
