It leaves us looking UP at Cleveland.... Perhaps it is time for us to find religion, because the end of the world could be happening.

Pete Abraham Kuroda has told the Dodgers he will not approve any trades. #RedSox "trying to be creative" seeking other option a source says.

Hopefully something comes totally out of left field and blows us away.

If neither us or the Yankees come away with Jimenez or Kuroda' date=' we'll remain the best team in the AL.[/quote']

Looking more and more like Cleveland will be Ubaldo's new home...

White just got pulled after one inning from his rehab start. Pair that with Pomeranz being scratched and there's something brewing for sure. We'll see pretty soon I think.

I'd still like another arm. Bedard I guess I could go for but I'm not so hot on that idea. I'll be very pissed if we get Harden.

I would like another arm as well. Bedard was wild as hell his last time out but his stuff was good and he looked healthy. I said the other day that he's probably the best bet for us considering need vs. price.

Hopefully he doesn't s*** the bed. What I've heard about him isn't very flattering, could be BS but still. I will now reiterate how pissed I am about the Cubs not putting Garza on the market.

They even have Masterson pitching well.Cleveland could be dangerous if they get into the playoffs.

They'll be good, no doubt, but will they be beat Bos/NY/Tex good? I doubt it.

True, but right now, Cleveland doesn't enough to beat those 3 in my opinion.

Pretty funny if it was true.

Yeah, this made me laugh too. I'm pretty disappointed though that they didn't wind up with Ubaldo. They definitely need help in the rotation, so hopefully Cashman has a plan C after Ubaldo and Kuroda.

Done deal...

http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2011/07/Guardians-to-acquire-ubaldo-jimenez.html

The organization that traded C.C. Sabathia and Cliff Lee away in high-profile summer trades is about to acquire an ace of its own. The Guardians and Rockies have agreed on a deal that will send Ubaldo Jimenez to Cleveland, according to Troy Renck of the Denver Post (on Twitter).

Jimenez, 27, has a 4.20 ERA with 8.6 K/9, 3.5 BB/9 and a 46.8% ground ball rate midway through an up and down season that has included flashes of brilliance, stretches of poor performance and a stint on the disabled list with a cuticle cut on the right-hander’s thumb. The third place finisher in last year's Cy Young voting, Jimenez broke out in 2010, posting a 2.88 ERA with 8.7 K/9 and 3.7 BB/9 in 221 2/3 innings.

Some of Jimenez's value comes from a contract that now seems team-friendly. Jimenez earns $2.8MM this year and $4.2MM in 2012. His contract includes a $5.75MM club option ($1MM buyout) for 2013 and an $8MM club option for 2014 ($1MM buyout).

That must be one of the "improved offers" the Rockies received this morning.
