Baseball Redraft League Draft and Discussion Thread

My guess on the top 10 based on the last redraft I did would be...

 

1. Pujols

2. Felix

3. Halladay

4. Josh Johnson

5. Longoria

6. Wainwright

7. Cliff Lee

8. Tulo

9. Hanley

10. Lester

 

Considering Tulo's offensive production, his defensive ability, the position he plays, and his cost, I just don't think there's a better value pick in the draft. I think he should go at number one regardless of someone's draft strategy, but especially if that person is looking to take a position player. I understand the arguments for Pujols and Longoria, but for the reasons I mentioned, I just see Tulo as a better option.

 

With that being said, if the person selecting first overall wants to go with a pitcher, it's certainly debatable.

It's funny. I remember in the other anti-fantasy draft we did here Tulo was taken #1 overall by YOTN and we were all like WTF at the time. But right now I could certainly see him being taken #1.

By the way, to those asking, as the drafting period comes to an end, a trade segment will be opened for people to both improve their team or get out of payroll trouble.

 

I will announce the duration of the period and the specifics as the draft comes to an end.

 

I must also express satisfaction at the pace the re-draft has maintained. Good job guys, keep it up!

I certainly understand the logic behind it, but he's rather underrated, usually more so that Pujols, Longoria, or a top of the line pitcher - for example, he went #15 in the last redraft I did

Hey Guys, I just got back. I'll update the chart shortly. Anyway I had started the afternoon with a couple 6 packs of Sam Adams (Cherry Wheat, Coastal Wheat, Winter Lager, and Black Lager) mixed with a few shots of Hypnotiq. And at the restaurant a few hours later I had a bunch of chicken wings, a soda, and what sent me over the meter was an Eggnog Martini, which had kahlua, vodka and a little cognac. Something about that mixture (and the horrible aftertaste of the kahlua) caused me to projectile vomit in the restaurant. I totally chundered over everything. It was epic. Anyway I'll get on updating the chart for you guys. It feels like accountants are cranking adding machines in my head.

Don't worry I made it to the bathroom. I took out a lot of the bathroom though. And none of my friends caught on, I just magically disappeared and came back a little thinner.

 

Anyway now I have the draft picks collected so I'll get to updating the chart. I'll update the bottom part first since it's quicker and people can use it to see who is available.
