Yeah, I actually did fall into a toilet...I'd rather not enclose the details

I'm absolutely stunned he's available, but here goes for the best rotation of all time...

Exman wanted Andrew Mccutchen CF

Btw, Dipre is about willing to dragon punch Will and Ytrb for taking his pitching choices.

There are still a few options on the table. I heard that A.J. Burnett guy is pretty good.

I seriously considered Carpenter in the 2nd, but decided not to go after him due to his large salary

But I couldn't pass that up in the 5th

Screw you, he was going to be my next pick

Was really hoping he'd make it back to me, although I had my doubts. Nice pick. Your starting rotation is awesome.

So is yours...I can't believe you got CC as your #3

Thanks. I think that's a product of me putting a lot of focus on pitching on the early rounds, but yeah, I have to be pleased with how my rotation looks so far.

A few things. First, even though CC Sabathia was technically drafted 3rd, doesn't mean that he will be Y228's 3rd starter. Technically he will make that decision in his club house.

That said, I'm actually surprised from the other side, as in I'm surprised that Sabathia was drafted that early. Don't get me wrong, he's a top pitcher, but considering that his salary is around 1/5th of the entire team, I figured that most teams would hold off on that kind of financial stranglehold until later. That said, you 2 have very good rotations, even with the salary crunches.

That's why I took Gallardo and Cahill before Carp...the two combine for less than a million, so I still have more than 2/3 of my salary left

Yup, that's a fair critique.

The way I look at it, I need to spend my money at some point, and the people who simply go for the great value picks all the time face the possibility of not fully utilizing their cap space. At the time I chose Sabathia, by almost any standard, he was the best pitcher available, and I theorized that he would not make it back to me (which was confirmed by Divinity).

The real proof will come in the later rounds, when the possibility exists that I might have to pass up on better players due to salary cap constrictions. But I have no way of knowing if that's going to be the case, and I just felt it was worth it to go for the best available player.

I'd be afraid to see what would happen to Divinity's payroll if he had taken CC Sabathia.

I picked Billingsley as an upside pitching pick. I think he's better right now than many pitchers taken before him and comparable to Kershaw albeit with less strikeouts but better control. He's also cheap and gives me a potentially dominant 1-2.

Billingsley is a fine #2. Color me surprised EXman didn't pick another pitcher. If Ervin Santana is your #1, you're going to need a lot of depth.
