In a row. I'd say eject him' date=' but I want to see him get pounded.[/quote']

I think he's got a screw loose. I don't think he did it intentionally.

Two of them were with two strikes' date=' and the other was with a curveball.[/quote']

I know it wasn't intentional. I just want to see him rack up the runs to stick it to the commissioner in my fantasy baseball league (not a talksox league) who offered me Javier Vasquez and Octavio Dotel for Pablo Sandoval and then booted me out of the league after I told him to f*** himself.

Well, I highly doubt they win the division at this point. The Yanks and Rays will be tied in the loss column after tonight, and the Yankees' schedule is much much much harder the rest of the way. So be it.

I just hope they clinch soon (preferably this weekend), because there are a bunch of guys that could use the rest.

Lol Yaz you love to be a pain in the ass. I like it.

We're clinching a playoff spot. I think it is fairly obvious that we arent taking the division. And we'll line up our rotation with CC at the head of it. Pettitte's stuff wasnt bad at all. His location was way off, which is to be expected. He has 2 more starts to get that in line. Nice to see the offense not give up

I posted weeks ago that they weren't winning the division. The Yankees haven't been playing well the entire second half, the Rays' schedule is much easier down the stretch, and Girardi wasn't going all out for wins.

Would you become concerned if Boston swept this weekend?

Concerned about the Division or a playoff spot? I'd be concerned about the Division. That will be tough to win if you get swept this weekend. Playing Texas in a 5 game series with Cliff Lee pitching twice will be tougher than the Twins in a 5 game series.

I wouldn't be concerned about the playoff spot. I will be really pissed if the Sox win 5 of 6 or all 6 games from the Yanks and finish a game or two out. The "what if's" will bug me. I mean to lose by 1 or 2 games and to think that the FO made no in season moves to help the team will grind my gears.

I haven't thought they would win the division for a few weeks. They just aren't playing too well, and the Rays have a much easier schedule. But if they win the wild card, they'd go up against Minnesota, not Texas.

As for a playoff spot, I'm just worried that the Red Sox manage to stay alive till next weekend. If that happens all bets are off. The pitching match-ups heavily favor the Sox the rest of the weekend, and they'd give themselves a chance if they could pull off a sweep.

Next week the Yankees have three games at Toronto, while the Red Sox have four games at Chicago. That's seven total games, and if the Red Sox sweep this weekend, they would need five of them to go their way to stay alive into next weekend. That's possible. If the Red Sox win the next two games, I'll be concerned.

Also, Girardi is asking for trouble by not pushing Hughes on Sunday, and by possibly limiting CC to one start the rest of the year.

That's right. You would play the Twins. If we beat up on you this weekend that should end up being a good thing by lining you up with the Twins. Who wins the tiebreaker?

Tiebreaker between who?

Tampa and the Yanks. If the Yanks and Boston end up in a tie' date=' there would be no tie-breaker, but a 1-game playoff.[/quote']

The Rays won the season series. There would be no tiebreaker.

No offense' date=' man, but when [i']aren't[/i] you concerned?

If they're swept this weekend, I think I have reason to be.

EDIT: They've been completely mediocre for two months. My concerns prior to that period have been validated.

The Rays, Yankees, and Sox are pretty much .500 since the ASB.

Meanwhile the Twins have been kicking ass. But they have their problems, too.

But, but, but, Jacko told me the Yankees were a second-half team! :(

That's probably true but we're up by 3 runs. I'm confident that we'll win but your making it seem like you don't have a chance.

Lol, I wish I wasn't that sure, but the team I've seen the last two months has no chance against Lester today.
