Yeah, I don't disagree. The only issue is that it leaves Lidge with no breathing room. There is a reason why the majority of hitters do better with the bases loaded than any other situation. However, I think A-Rod, because of how good he has been, transcends that logic.

i think lidge gets the pressure and uses it the right way. the way the game was Buck and McCarver are complete f***ing retards. Lidge still should have used the Slider even if it goes in the dirt. the Catcher is there for a reason not just to look nice in all that gear. you can't stop throwing your best pitch because it might be a passed ball or a wild pitch.
