The Yankees are officially going with a three man rotation the rest of the way.

EDIT: Which means the Yankees are trying to do something that has never before been done in the Wild Card era.

Well the Blue Jays did it 3 years prior to the Wild Card formation in the 92' World Series against the Atlanta Braves

How was CC awful? Victorino hit a popup that is caught by any OFer worth their salt and Utley owns CC. BTW' date=' I walk Werth here. He is way too hot[/b']

Request granted.

It was a no-brainer. Werth had an OPS of 1.080 vs lefties' date=' which led the league.[/quote']

14 HRs against them too.

Damon is really awful defensively. First he gets a bad break on a ball he should have caught, and then dives when he has no chance at it.

Anyway, Sabathia made a mistake to Utley and threw a lot of pitches, but he seems to have much better command than he did in game one.

Well, it's kind of irrelevant because I said "Wild Card era", but the Jays used four starters in the World Series that year anyway.

Holy s***.

Blanton looks so much like Brad Penny. Especially from the back!

Blanton is approximately the upside I can see for Michael Bowden.

Bowden throws harder and did better at AAA than Blanton did when he was there, so he might have a slightly higher upside--but Blanton's potential at Bowden's age was probably higher.

Both are husky 6-3, and have weird deliveries. Both rely on location and secondary stuff over power, and that ultimately limits their ability to carry a staff.

That said, an upside of Blanton is not insignificant. Bowden could certainly make the staffs of a number of MLB teams next year.

Ryan Braun's OPS against lefties was 1.198.

Makeup call on that strike 3. No baserunning calls' date=' but the home plate ump has been shaky and the warnings after the top of the first were BS[/quote']

3-2 to Teixeira was a strike.

McCarver is a moron. He is saying ARod wasnt hit intentionally. Hmm. Runner on 3rd, 1 out with a GIDP machine in Posada on deck. If it wasnt intentional, then it was an incredibly opportune time to hit the guy. Just like both times last night

My comment about Blanton was only directed towards the visual impression I get.

I have no idea about his capabilities.

Just a fat f*** with a funky delivery.

And a goatee.

Yeah, but we all know that teams are trying to pitch A-Rod inside. He might have hit him intentionally, but it also might have just gone a bit further inside than he wanted.
