95% of the posters know more about the current game than i do and i watch about 30 hours of bball a week.

there are younger guys who are in the know but maybe a bit naive and lacking in history but they are polite and respectful for the most part

arguments occur daily but are never carried over or made personal for the most part

the degenerate baseball addicts are patient with the others

I wonder if the windowsill lickers at DodgerBlues would enjoy it if half a dozen of our members carried on some stupid personal arguments onto their board.

 

I guess they'd probably like it about as much as being swept out of the first round of the playoffs by the Pirates or the Phillies or whatever piss awful team that finishes two games over .500 is lucky enough to get matched up against the elite of the NL West. I mean, hey, sure we lost to Colorado but at least they're near the top in walks, OBP, batting average, and decent fans.

 

I can't wait until the Dodgers win the NL West and lose the NLDS on a walk-off grand slam from Mike Lamb, Paul Lo Duca or Jose f***ing Bautista. That way they don't have to worry about the World Series interfering with their continued thread linkbacks and sniggering idiocy towards this place.

As far the showing up late/leaving early thing is concerned... this has been discussed here previously, and the point was made that Dodger Stadium is the only ballpark where you can see the parking lot during the broadcast, which is why Dodger fans get singled out. The reality is that every team's fans do this.

Dodger Stadium was full when Gagne was closing out games, and it still is when Saito is closing them out. AT&T Park (or SBC) was just as bad when Robb Nen was closing out games, and that was around the time they won the pennant. Dodger Stadium is the only stadium in which the parking lot can be seen from the broadcast booth. That's why we get such a bad rap.
