It would have been an easier play if he had not been a midget.:D

Or if he had an extra hand growing off his right foot. He could have caught it more easily.

I hate superfluous dives. :D

Here's the thing though...as good as Okajima has been, I think a big part of his success this week was that the Yankees had never seen him before.

Donnelly has been better than Romero this year, and past years. The only reason he's an unknown is that he's never used.

I'm glad they got out of it. Matsuzaka really shouldn't have started the inning, I would have liked either Donnelly or Timlin there.

In general I agree with you TheKilo. Seriously.

I just don't see a need to start second guessing before the game is over, especially since we're still winning.

People were second guessing the use of Okajima the other day as a closer, yet he did well. I told my wife it was either going to be seen as a stupid move or a stroke of genius. So far, the jury says genius.

Manny's broken out of his slump. We called it.

well, not too pissed if you guys sweep. The only annoyance is with the amazing Teflon coach. I wasnt expecting us to win the series, was worried about not winning one game and the worry came true. I am just glad its april and our rotation is about to fall into place.

BTW, I did a dance of happiness when I heard Torre was gonna be let go. Then i nearly cried when my heartstrings were tugged.

I'm gonna start a new thread for you.

I think fall is the operative word there. They will fall into place and pull something in the process.

Oh, now the announcers start poo-pooing the Sox performance. They've "only" outscored the yankees 21-17. They have had to come back each game.

That is what baseball is all about fellas. You get 27 outs, so if you use them you shouldn't be penalized.

I think the point he is conveying is that Okajima's workload is ridiculous when your rotation has left so little for the pen to do. 2 run lead with a lights out closer waiting should not force you to overwork a guy.

Because if he puts someone in who gives up the lead the same people would be jumping all over him. He can't possibly win. Neither can Torre.

No, I can see his point too.

I just think three days in a row was a bad move. But hey, we got the lead and the chance for more. It worked out.

poetry at its finest.

BTW, a note on Pavano, his status to this point has been considered "not even close". I would assume that means he is out for the season, lol. What a pussy.

He is an ENORMOUS, UGLY, MALFORMED Pussy. I'm so glad he wasn't impressed when he visited with the Red Sox a few years ago. I like Beckett better. (And Wakefield, and Schilling, and Dice-K, and Tavarez, and Snyder, and DiNardo--even when he pitches in Oakland--and just about anyone else).

No. no Jason Johnson. I would rather have Pavano.

I kid of course. Johnson had diabetes, that's enough of a reason to like him more.

EDIT: by which I mean to "depussifyhim" relative to CP.
