What is the team ERA?

dunno, dont care. Need some innings. Wang and Pettitte should save some pen. The kid on Thursday, maybe. But man, right now it looks bad.

ARod is on another planet right now.

dont think Jeter is jealous of anything. He has 4 rings remember. And ARod has played on some pretty good teams. I dont think the last 3 yankee teams or his Seattle teams were bad at all.

Don't underestimate the pettiness of the aging Captain, and ARod had his best years on a last place Texas Ranger team.

Jeter is just so jealous of ARod' date=' but he should be comforted by the fact that ARod plays best for losing teams.[/quote']

You're an idiot.

His 3 best OPS seasons were in either SEA or NYY.
It's hard to argue with 57, 52 and 47 HRs and 2 MVPs. Also, don't forget that each time ARod has left a team that they improved in the standings.

I wasn't the one who held a press conference on the first day of Spring Training to discuss the rift.

If this torrid April is even 1% due to his getting the whole Jeter pussyfication issue behind him then fine.

You are still an idiot.

P.S. Usually you are pretty sharp, but you are an idiot on this one.

I'll take him on my team any day.

Didnt you say he was going to be an innings eater?

Ha! First rule: MJ, while passionate, is always wrong w/ his predictions. I wish I kept some of the oldies but goodies from The Herald. I vaguely remember some 4 or 5 page diatribe about how David Ortiz was a fluke. The one everyone remembers...the pitching prediction fors 05'. Hey MJ...where's your "We Got Randy signature?" He also owes me 20 bucks in our keeper league. I'm in 3rd. I think he's 9th. Felix Hernandez and Alex Gordon are serving him well. I'm fine w/ Reyes and Sizemore and Holliday and KRod...oh my.

Signed...busting your balls since 2004.

imagine how boring things would be without the yankees and their fans??

that tampa team is good

you cant stop them but only try and contain them

tali

didnt know he lived chest high.

BTW, Abreu with a leadoff double.

We have been saying since during the offseason, from scouting reports, he has a high 80's fastball that he likes to leave up in the zone. As I said you didnt want to listen, touting he'll be a good 4th starter for you guys while striiking out a lot of batters and just be an innings beast! Was it 5 years you have him for? I cant wait for the Sox to face him on Saturday

Ugh, have to do better holding runners on. Even though it's Crawford that has been something that has concerned me early this season. In terms of this game, Wang is off to a fast start but he may begin to tire soon considering this is his first start back.

EDIT: Terrible job there by Cairo, you cannot let that ball take a second hop, and it may give the D-Rays the lead in this inning.

EDIT: This is unbelievable, the same thing happened to Posada last night. You would think after the first time he would expect the high hop instead of starting with his glove down. And the Cairo play ends up costing them a run.

Torre does it again. Wang taken out after only 81 pitches. THEN after saying on the pregame show he wants to avoid Vizciano, he goes to him in the 7th anyway. Let me say this.....Mike Myers has become a waste of a roster spot. Hes in for just 1 batter and recently he cant get those batters out. Sean Henn has been much better f***ing use him.

At least some of that has to fall on the manager. You can't walk Baldelli intentionally in that situation because you almost guarantee yourself that you're facing Crawford in the inning. That was truly a terrible move.

On top of that, Myers really has no place on a MLB roster. I can't think of anyone that is less valuable than Mike Myers. He really does very little for the Yankees. The fact that (I know it's early in the season) lefties are hitting considerably higher against him than righties is concerning in it's on right. He is being paid to get out the premier left handed hitters in baseball. Instead he's taking up someone elses spot who could give them more than one batter at a time. Think of it like this, the bullpen is so overworked and so exhausted yet the Yankees have a guy who doesn't usually pitch to more than one batter. Does that make sense to anyone?

What really pisses me off is that Joe isn't thinking ahead. Unless you get a double play you're going to have to face Crawford with men on base. I just don't get it Joe sometimes.

If Henn continues to pitch well, Myers should be DFA'd sooner than later.
