Cashman just said before yesterday that Hughes was going to be up here for a good period of time. Don't try to brush this off as "oh, he was going back down soon anyways." With how he was pitching yesterday, the Yankees would have been fools to throw that away for someone like Pavano or Igawa.

 

The people in charge of the Yankees conditioning need to be replaced. They obviously have no idea how to handle hamstrings.
