Is he smarter than I think? He used 9 pitchers including Mo for a second day in a row and Farnsworth. He did n't go to Joba because he is not allowed. I'm not knocking his intelligence' date=' just making a predicition based on observing his managerial patterns for the last 12 years. He can't resist using his big guns and going for the win every single time.[/quote']

He let Jose Veras struggle in the seventh and he avoided using Vizcaino each time they got the lead. You can't knock the number of pitchers he used considering how large the bullpen is.

I hope he uses Mo again today.

Roger Clemens, who was scratched from his start Saturday with a strained left hamstring, has been pushed back from Monday to Tuesday.

Andy Pettitte will pitch Monday on regular rest. All of these changes means there's good reason for skepticism over whether Clemens will really go Tuesday or not. If he can't, perhaps Ian Kennedy (back) will be ready.

Yanks and Moose down 3-0 in the top of the 2nd. Moose is reverting to mid-season form.

Edit: Yankee announcers say that Torre thinks Mo could be available today. lol!!!

3-3 game. This team just battles. I hope the Yankees blow the game open, just to rest the pen. I can hope in one hand, crap in the other....we all know which hand will get filled first.

Oh well.

It's good to see Moose having a good game. I think he should be the game 2 starter in the playoffs.

Definitely. Right after Wake pitches in game one for you guys.

Yeah they battle. Clemens has opted out of the battle though. He'd rather go against the D-Rays.

I wonder what Manny is waiting for....Armageddon?

Vizcaino is doing nicely although I'd like to see a higher pitch count. We will see either Joba (in violation of the rules) or Mo for the 3rd day in a row...maybe both. This is great!! The Yankee fans are still chasing the division.

Yankee announcers are hyping this Joba appearance as the "stickiest situation" that he has come into. Oh my goodness, he's facing the fearsome Johnny Lind batting .234 with men on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs. I am biting my nails.

OMG!! He did it!! He did it!! Cue the Dad picture and Joba pumps hi fisy and does his twirl as the .230 hard hitting Jimmy lind walks back to the dugout after striking out. The crowd is going crazy.

Really can't blame YES for continuing to cut to Joba's dad, I hear he's having a tough time selling his "jump to conclusions" mat.

IS HE KIDDING? LOLZ

Henn and Mo are up in the pen. puhlease use Mo! Puhlease! Joe, you need this game. You want this game. You haven't clinched anything yet. Tampa and Baltimore will be very tough this week.

Maybe you guys should think of getting Gagne's dad to watch the game. Or maybe Papelbon's dad when the bases are loaded.

a700, the tying runs were on base. I would figure that it was a pretty important moment in the game. You know, tying runs on base, potential winning run at the plate...nah, not a big moment. What were they thinking?

That said, they are overdoing the whole Chamberlain and his father thing.

It was a moment worthy of Brian Corey. Here comes Joba for the 9th. Crap! More shot of his dad chomping on a toothpick. I want Mo to go three days in a row.

If Joba's dad cries every time Joba gets a .230 hitter out, how will he react when he loses a game?

Kay just came out with the "and a child shall lead them" line. How dramatic. He is indead the savior. I have a question, could the savior go 2 days in a row? Cue the Dad. Joba k's another .234 hitter.

What a give me save for Joba-- Thigpen, Overbay who is about to have hand surgery, and Reed Johnson (.235 on the year). Id like to hear Torre's thoughts on what his plan is if Pettitte leaves after the 6th inning with the lead
