When he left 3rd everyone in the place was yelling: "He's going!" And the POS Johnson still took forever to deliver the ball. He could have stolen it standing up and not got hit by the ball. Unbelievable.

 

I hope we see Johnson DFA soon. Very soon.

Tek in the first 3 games is 2 for 12 with 7 ks

He'll get hot at some point. He's very streaky, aqnd when he is going bad he is and looks very bad.

We need a big inning against a bad bullpen. This could be the night. See: June 18th, Red Sox @ Atlanta.

 

Our bats took off during that streak of games we won. That inning set the tone for the next couple of weeks.

I've missed a lot of the game, but by reading through the thread I can tell this game sucks.

 

 

I also see people clamoring for a starting pitcher, but outside of Smoltz there really isn't anything to be had at this point. I don't want a headcase like Weaver in Boston.

 

 

2 scoreless from Tavarez. Good Julian.

You know it's bad when a Julian Tavarez outing is one of the bright spots of a game.

 

 

Truly sad,,,let's hope we can change that before the end of the game!

we have had so many weak at-bats. Lots of ugly swings, off balance attempts.....just ugly....this team doesn't seem pumped up this series at all

 

Hopefully I'm wrong, but they may have rolled into TB thinking they'd have a relatively easy time of it. Even so, I guess after being on such a tear, it was only a matter of time until they had a bit of a slump.

No, hopefully you're right. That would mean this team DOESN'T suck as much as it has shown against the DRays.

If Theo is not going to get serious about getting an experienced SP, I wouldn't mind seeing them give Hansen a spot start. He'd be a tremendous improvement over the medley of garbage that they have been sending to the mound every fifth day.
