  1. Its got a lot of insight into the behind the scenes stuff.
  2. We're ready to give up on Wake just cuz he has had two rocky starts since coming back from the dl. Maybe his numbers don't look that great this year, but he was getting no run support at the beginning. He is always consistent, year to year. Hes underrated. Yea, he is old, but knuckle ballers arms last longer. He deserves a few more starts before this conversation.
  3. Beckett is odd cuz when he is good, he is really good. And when he is bad, hes awful. He rarely has middle of the road outings.
  4. yess. becketts done for the night
  5. They might be able to shock the arrhythmia back to his normal heart beat. He might have to go on blood thinners. He could be out for a while. He needs to take care of himself.
  6. Thats what I hear too. I guess he only needs a few classes to graduate. He thinks that if he goes back into the draft next year, he'll go earlier and be able to get a better signing bonus. I guess that St Louis told him that they'd take him in the first round if he signed for a million and 1/2, but he turned it down.
  7. I think we have until August 23 to sign LaPorta. That is when his classes start again. He is asking for a 4 million dollar signing bonus... He worked out at Fenway the other day and was slamming them over the monster.
  8. The commercial with the guy from American Idol makes me want to gouge my ears out...
  9. especially if he stays healthy and keeps his numbers where they are
  10. I originally wouldn't have minded if we traded manny and got something good out of the deal, and stuck Wily Mo in left. But I guess Manny wants to stay in Boston now and he hasn't been "manny being manny" really this year so........ If we trade Manny we lose that 3, 4 punch. I know this isn't even a real consideration. I just don't want to see Trot go
  11. Too bad Wily Mo is much better in center than right. He makes me nervous in right, and I think (if I remember correctly) they played in mostly in center before his injury, and stopped putting him in right. Trot knows right field like no one else. He is the definition of a red sox and is one of the hardest workers on the team. I think that Wily Mo is going to have to prove that he can play right before Nixon goes. But I won't be surprised if Trot isn't here next year.
  12. no I agree with you. I would have left Hansen in. Im just saying that people (no necessarily you) would bitch if Tito had left him and and a few more runs were scored on the kid. But I agree with you. He has to learn to pitch out of jams. Can't baby him
  13. good point but that was a starter who was tired, not someone out of the bull pen. But we'd bitch about him if he left Hansen in too long and he gave up 2 runs instead of one.
  14. come on. lets get a few runs this inning
  15. He seriously is a ball magnet, poor guy. He got hit in the foot in his rehab start. But I guess that his right bicep was sore only after throwing 1 inning (about 17 pitches). A comeback anytime soon is not looking good.
  16. I think they should really give snyder another start. Spot starting Hansen is too risky because the sox are so concerned with their prospects heads and well-being. Hansen is a closer and he knows that. The only reason he was starting in Pawtucket was so he could throw a lot, work on his command and add another pitch. I'm not saying he is Cla Meredith or anything, but giving a major league start to a guy who is not a starter is tough.......
  17. I doubt they'd even think of starting hansen
  18. julian is doing alright tonight. knock on wood
  19. Kapler is headed to Fort Myers for extended spring.........so he'll be back soon hopefully
  20. We couldn't just send him down to AAA. He would have to clear waivers and he definitley would be picked up by another team. It is in his contract. So we have to keep him in Boston.
  21. EEI's Meterparel is saying that Coco has kidney stones and that is causing more of a delay
