just gonna post that AG13.....I really am praying he gets traded. He's gonna be a great pitcher.

:D Yeah he has great pitcher written all over him. Great stuff, great control, throws strikes and great size for a power pitcher (6-5 230).

...or maybe he'll have a fight with a cop in the offseason and separate his shoulder.

Phillip Hughes is god. I pray every day that they deal that man for Jacque Jones or someone bad because Hughes will really make me mad sometime i can feel it.

LOL, on a lesser level Yankee top prospect Phil Hughes has a no-no thru 7.

If he continues at this pace the league is going to request he be promoted pretty soon.

And, while on the topic of Hughes, today is his 20th birthday. Happy Birthday Ace!

Mike Mussina has been pitching well today. It's really been quite a performance, some might even call it perfect.

EDIT: That didn't take long. Jacobs singles as I clicked the Submit button.

Willis has a no hitter through 2 innings

Haha, the point of posting that is...? 2 innings is nothing.

Miguel Batista was perfect through 6.2 innings yesterday vs Oakland.

It was against the Sox. If you read through the thread, you'd see that this thing has worked as a jinx. He was trying to jinx Willis. I know you don't like the guy, but the impulse to ridicule him has made you come out with egg on your face this time.

Well, I was away all week, and I didnt even know we faced Willis. In no way was I trying to ridicule him, and had no idea that was even going on. Now I know.

so close

John Lackey was perfect after giving up a leadoff double to Mark Kotsay on Friday night, retiring 27 straight A's in a complete-game shutout.

Lackey matched his career-high with 10 strikeouts. It was the his fifth career complete game and fourth shutout, his first since a 1-0 win over Tampa Bay on May 7, 2004. He hasn't allowed a run in his last 17 2/3 innings and is now 7-5 with a 2.88 ERA this season. Since Francisco Liriano is again under the innings minimum, only Johan Santana is beating Lackey in ERA among AL starters.

edit - i lied the box score on MLB.tv says he did give up a hit, but the scoreboard box score said he didnt. weird.
