Throw in the fact that we're now in a tie for first place (thanks, Seattle!) and this was a very good day in baseball for me.

White Sox > Tigers (IMO)

Just thought I'd point that out.

White Sox > Tigers (IMO)

Just thought I'd point that out.

What sucks is that we could be down two games to them after tomorrow.

They play a day-night DH in Detroit.

First one was in April of '06 against Texas. The only thing that kept that from being a perfecto was the fact that he walked Sosa' date=' after which he promptly picked him off.[/quote']

It was in 2007.

The way the Tigers are playing, there is no way we will lose both those games.

We have actually been doing okay against good hitters. And we absolutly destroy verlander most of the time he is against us.

Awesome for Buehrle. I listened to the 9th on the radio on the way home from Dallas today. Good stuff.

Regardless of team loyalties, You have to applaud this. It's just so rare.

Fangraphs just had a cool stat. Buehrle was only on the mound for 32 minutes today.

He does work pretty quick. He doesn't do all that s*** other pitchers do, like stepping off the mound, removing his hat and wiping his forehead, going to the rosin bag after every pitch, etc. He gets the ball back and is ready to throw the next pitch.

I saw on ESPN today the amazing similarities between Buehrle's No Hitter and Perfect Game.

Both games lasted 2:03, a White Sox batter hit a grand slam and the same ump was behing home plate.

In his No Hitter, he walked one batter, otherwise would have been a Perfect Game.

It's too bad more pitchers don't work like that.

Anyone remember Steve Trachsel? Lordy.

Thrachsel began his windup before the catcher threw the ball back at him.

I guess that's not who I was talking about then. I thought it was Trachsel who took absolutely forever between pitches. It was an old guy for the O's a few years ago. They timed him on SportsCenter and it was like a minute 10 seconds.

I could never watch that.

Hmm. Not sure who that would be then.

I do believe it was Trachsel that took all day though.

I'll be the tiebreaker here. Trachsel was known for taking forever in between pitches. He was sometimes referred to as "The Human Rain Delay."

I saw him when he was with the Cubs.

I shave once or twice a week.

In the time that elapses, Trachsel will have thrown a pitch.

Couldn't be Orlando Hernandez could it?

It was a white pitcher, on a day game, but we're talking 02-03 here.
