I don't like Beal. He's undersized and lacks the athleticism to compensate for it, and there's nothing special about his game outside of scoring.

I'd like to see the Wizards trade #3 and a contract (maybe flip Ariza) for James Harden and #28. Harden's poor finals showing isn't really indicative of much, it was just a bad series. He's bigger than Beal, is a better playmaker, a better defender, and he's proven. OKC has to unload Harden or Ibaka at some point, since they're pricing themselves to the point where the Thunder won't be able to keep both. MKG and Ariza keeps them good in the short term and makes their perimeter defense pretty scary.

The Wizards really need a scorer, especially a SG (I don't really like Crawford) which is why I'd like Beal, I'd be fine with MKG also though.

Harden is a lot better and I'd definitely be for that trade, I just don't see it happening, I think OKC is gonna try and keep that squad together for at least 1 more season.

LeBron' date=' Wade, and Bosh are all due at the olympics, so I have my doubts that they can repeat next year, just because of the fatigue involved from getting basically a one month break from last fall to next June. Maybe if Riley works some magic and can talk Nash or Ray Allen into signing for the vet minimum and Marcus Camby for the MLE, they can pull it off, that would help their depth immensely.[/quote']

I could definitely see Nash in Miami, he hinted before he'd like to play there and he definitely wants a ring. It would be a damn near perfect fit for both sides.

Westbrook is most likely getting at least 15 Mil so OKC's payroll will be getting up there and wont be able to keep Harden after next year. They might want to trade him to get something in return rather than just losing him next year.

I seriously doubt he would accept league vet minimum to go to Miami, if he leaves Phoenix I think Dallas is the most probable destination.

If he wants a ring , I bet he'll take the league minimum .

He's not winning anything in Dallas

You're right, after thinking it over and considering he's already made over 100 million during his career I guess if he wants a ring that badly he'll go with Miami.

Is that what the nba has come too? I'm not sure what the rules in the nba are, but atleast in baseball a player can't take a noticeable pay decrease to play with a certain team to keep them under the salary cap... And there's a little thing out there called pride? I can't imagine that juwan Howard will EVER gloat about winning a ring, sure he was a great player in his day, but he showed up, wore some warmup pants and had a ring handed to him... Not everyone wants s*** handed to them

IRT 'best players of all time', winning the Finals MVP isn't necessarily the best measure of that, of course, but basketball does seem to be a game where the best players dominate in the big moments. They've only been awarding Finals MVP since 1969 so obviously this list of winners is omitting Bill Russell and other greats.

Draft is tonight, Houston's been dealing.

I really, really hope the Celtics aren't dumb enough to take Austin Rivers.

how come? honestly just wondering.... is it because he's somewhat of a "hothead" or just dot think he will turn into anything? no one can predict how he will turn out, but if anyone can calm him down and teach him the right way to play, i would say its his dad

edit: and i'm not saying we should or should'nt draft him, but if ainge does pull the trigger to try and get him, i gotta say it's the right call......i don't pretend to think i know more than danny ainge and the rest of guys they have in the "war room"

This has nothing to do with Austin's talent. He's good, but hardly a can't miss prospect. It's just not a good idea for a father to be coaching a son at this level. Too much potential for it to turn into a dicey situation, and it screams conflict of interest. The coach could be accused of favoritism, the player could be uncomfortable or just rest on his laurels, who knows what else. What happens if Austin gets traded? It's just messy. I doubt either Doc or Austin wants it either, especially Austin. He doesn't want to be coached by his daddy in the NBA.

Idk...it happens all the time in high school and often in college, and i think doc , atleast, could keep it professional..... i personally dont think we need him, would rather have a talented big, but i'll deal with w/e they do........might bitch and moan for awhile, but come pre-season time i'll be over it B)

Cavs had a chance coming into tonight to really set themselves up well for the future, and instead they completely bomb it. Waiters at 4 is blasphemous, and on top of it they trade 3 picks (24, 33, 34) for Tyler Zeller. Horrible.

I'm happy with this pick.... If healthy' date=' he'll be loved in Boston[/quote']

Agreed. I also think that regardless of who goes 22nd, this draft was a success for us.
