Inventing an argument that no one else is trying to make with you is not how you win a debate. This has nothing to do with MJ - all I said is that he would be under more scrutiny if he was playing in today's world. Which is true. No one in sports is safe in 2012, even if they turn water to wine while they get a triple double. I also never said that LeBron was without weaknesses. He just isn't as terrible and overrated as 90% of the internet seems to think he is. Amateur sports journalism is pretty much all hyperbole and nothing else.

Besides that, come on, the Celtics have one of the best defensive squads in the Association. Even LBJ is going to run into major problems with that kind of squad.

Uhh, no. Jordan just wasn't arrogant and playing into the publicity like Lebron does. Players were under every bit the scrutiny in the 90s as they are now. Charles Barkley says hi.

I don't know if you saw that HOF speech, or read any other details of his personal life, but I think it's pretty obvious that Michael Jordan personifies that word.

He was competitive and he backed it up. Best trash talker of all time, Lebron wasn't even a villain until he bolted for Miami and he started playing into it. Lebron is competitive but he has yet to back it up. He's also not fit to do MJ's laundry, so I don't know why he thinks he can do all of MJ's rituals and talk all this smack. MJ was an on-court trash talker, and it's common knowledge that he was very hard to get along with, but he was good enough.

I don't see it as arrogance.

I don't need to see stats that skew things into lebron's favor..... I watched with my own eyes how he completely " mailed " it in against the celtics a few yrs ago ( last yr in cle ) and his 4th quarter numbers in the finals last yr, should make even the biggest lebron nut-hugger cringe..

The only people I've ever heard say that there is no "clutch" or "it-factor" are lebron fans, wonder why?

We all know lebron's numbers are on par with MJ , magic , bird, but can you in good conscience say lebron belongs in the same company as those legends?? What separates them? The ability to raise their greatness to another level in the biggest of games on the greatest of stages.... Something that, I'm not saying lebron can't, but he hasn't done yet

No one cares what you saw, dipf***. Stats are FACTS. Your eyes are biased.

Your the most biased p.o.s on this board??? The point is/was jordans best gm's were most usually the most important ones, I might get motivated enough to look up some stats for lebron's most important gms ( finals, gm 7's elimination gm's etc ).

But even then, since you have your lebron goggles on, you'll be coming up with something else , while your hanging off his nuts

I really wish the NBA would do something to discourage all the flopping in the league now a days.... The heat are the worst at it.... It wasn't even called ( thank god ) but when Garnett spun away from battier ( who is a pretty big freaking guy ) battier flung himself onto the floor.... Ridiculous

Edit: and no, I'm not just hating on the heat, it's rampant throughout the league, the heat just do it more than anyone ( I've seen some stats about this somewhere )

I thought the same exact thing. Pierce used to be one of the worst floppers around, but he seems to be a bit better than in the past.

Wow, the celtics are gutting out this first half... Miami has to be kicking themselves to not be up by 15 points. If Pierce and Rondo were even having bad shooting games, we would be up by 10. They are both shooting absolutely terrible though.

Van gundy brought up a good idea, saying if they extended the " restricted area" a little wider and further up to the ft line, it would eliminate alot of the under the basket flops.... Pierce is getting old, so he went to the pump fake/lean into to draw a foul ...... Which him and wade are by far the best at

Rondo/pierce 3-18.... Only 4 assists for rondo.... Miami got bosh back..... And we're still in this gm?? :dunno:

Gotta feel pretty good about the 2nd half though, can't play much worse than this

Pierces head is out of this game... He is sulking big time... If we lose it's Pierces fault, he has played his worst game of the post season.

Miami is throwing the game away with all these bad three point attempts, Boston's help defense has been dominant, and Garnett is having a good game. Pierce is been abysmal.

Surprising game, not as good as I was hoping for.

Van Gundy is such a f***ing Heat homer. Pissed about the Celtics flopping? Really?

In his defense he gets pissed everytime anyone flops.... I swear he takes it personally lol

Would be just like the Celtics to s*** the bed on Thursday.

Quit hating bro.... How about you hate on lebron for once? Was he even on the court in the 2nd and 3rd quarter?

Edit: and yeah stats-wise lebron had a great gm...30 and 13... But he had 18-9?? In the first half.... He cheked out in the 2nd half
